(( Oh, yoooooooooooou))
Vinnie almost pissed his pants with joy when Zanna said Sirius Black was her favorite character! It completely made up for the fact that she like Lord of the Rings, not that Vinnie would hold it against her anyway. He'd never met a girl whose favorite character was Sirius Black. Then again, he was never able to talk to one long enough to find out. "Oh my God, really?" said Vinnie with a smile on his face, "Me too! I named my dog after him! He's a black Australian Shepard so he looks like Sirius when he's a dog! That's so weird that you like him too!"
The fact that Zanna like both Star Wars and Sirius Black was defiantly a push in the right direction. Vinnie couldn't believe he hadn't asked her this stuff the other day! This actually seemed easy now, talking to girls that is. Well, for now it seemed easy; Vinnie knew he was going to get stuck eventually and run out of things to say. He could have gone off on a Sirius Black tangent, but he chose not to. He figured he'd let Zanna start off with that if there was were she wanted the conversation to go. It seemed like talking to Sebastian was exactly what he needed. It made him forget all about his suspicions about why Sebastian knew so much about girls.
"Um, d-do you want me to walk to you home?" Vinnie asked, then he remembered he had a car, "I mean, do you want me to give you a ride home? B-because I have a car. . . it's just in the parking lot. . ." Fuck, how could he forget that he owned a car? All the excitement was making him loose his mind.

Zanna was glad that she seemed to say the right thing, even though she hadn't come right out and agreed with Vinnie. She wasn't purposely trying to impress him either, she was just being honest about her opinions. That was how she felt, and it just so happened that Vinnie agreed with her, at least when it came to Sirius Black.
"I wasn't allowed to name our pets... my mother got to do that," she said, shrugging. "We have two cats, Jingles and Sprinkles. Horrible names." She laughed at this, shaking her head slightly. She always hated having to call those poor cats by those names.
Then came the offer for a walk - corrected to an offer for a ride - home. She smiled reassuringly as Vinnie stumbled over his words a little, at first forgetting that he had a car. She looked down at her watch, realizing for the first time since she had stopped how late it really was. "I was actually just... I should really go to," she started, meaning to tell him that she had to go to practice. But something stopped her, and she didn't finish her sentence.
"Yeah, I'd really like that," she said. "I mean... do you want to hang out or something? I don't really feel like going home... unless you had plans tonight, or school work or something," she added hastily, realizing that she may have been reading too much into his offer for a ride. Maybe he was just being nice.

Vinnie had a good chuckle at the cats' names. "I'm sorry, but that's seriously gay." he said, loosening up for the first time in front of Zanna. He was becoming more and more comfortable with her and didn't feel as though he had to keep the gentleman act up as much. He still wasn't about to act like a sleazy douche bag either though. "One on my best friends is gay and I don't think even he'd name an animal that! Heh. Sirius is my dog so I got to name him, my sister has a big fluffy white cat she named Lilly. It's not another Harry Potter reference, she just liked the name."
Vinnie's heart sank when Zanna started to say she should go. Perhaps the disappoint was obvious on his face because she quickly changed her mind. Vinnie perked up immediately at hearing she wanted to hang out with him! That was even better than giving her a ride home. Vinnie flashed Sebastian a smile as if to say 'look! I'm actually hanging out with a girl!' But what to do? Vinnie really didn't want to go to a restaurant and make awkward conversation. The mall was too crowded and there was always the chance of another guy trying to sweep Zanna off her feet. So, where to go?
"D-do you just want to hang out at my house?" Vinnie asked boldly. They would have the whole house to themselves; his sister had drum line until five and his father alway worked late. "I mean, if you're uncomfortable with that I understand." he added quickly. He really didn't want to put pressure on Zanna or make it seem like he was up to something.

"I told you they were bad names. I can't wait to get a pet of my own. I've only ever been able to name fish, but those have never lasted long," she said, with a half-sigh. She wasn't a big fan of fish, but as a small child it was all she was allowed to have, and they had always been very cheap and ended up dying quickly.
She was glad that the topic was quickly changed back to what appeared to be some plans forming for the night ahead. She remembered that Sebastian was there - he'd been quiet up until this point- and felt bad for not including him in their plans. She didn't really know him, but then again she didn't really know Vinnie. Weird.
At first the idea of going to a strange guy's house seemed odd. It seemed like one of those things you were warned against by your parents and every teacher ever. Something that could not and would not end well. And she had just witnessed him try to pick up a group of girls. But it was what Vinnie said next that made her know that he really just wanted to hang out, at least for now.
"I mean, if you're uncomfortable with that I understand."
If he had meant to con her into coming to his house then he wouldn't have said anything along those lines. He wasn't faking nice to trick her, he seemed to genuinely mean it.
"No, that sounds like fun," she said, smiling. "As long as your family won't mind my being there," she added, not wanting to intrude. This was exciting!

Vinnie was horribly excited that Zanna agreed to come over! He had to stop himself from bouncing on this heels! This was the first time he was going to bring a girl home that wasn't a close friend! He was actually glad that no one in his family was going to be around to see it because he knew that they'd make a big deal. His father would asked her whether or not she was Italian then badger her with questions about what kind of Italian food she liked. His sister would do everything she could to get Zanna out of the house and away from him then once she was gone tell Vinnie how Zanna was nothing like mom even though his sister barely remembered their mother. But his family not being home raised another problem.
"Oh well, my family isn't home. . ." Vinnie said uncomfortably. He really didn't want Zanna to think he was trying to get her alone. That was just the usually situation at his house, his father worked late and his sister usually stayed later after school to do something. Not to mention that his older brother had his own place. "See, my dad works late and my sisters is always doing something." he explained.

Zanna wasn't sure what to make of the fact that his family wouldn't be home. On one hand, it meant no awkward family interrogations. On the other hand, it meant that they would be completely alone. She didn't want to enter into any awkward situations, but she was looking forward to skipping out on her practice for once and just enjoying herself. She barely had any homework, which was also a plus because it meant that she could enjoy her free time without feeling guilty about not doing work. For once everything seemed to just work out for her, and she wanted to embrace this for all that it was worth.
"That's cool," she said, leaving it at that. "I'm barely at my own house half the time, I know how busy things can get." She hoped that this reply would satisfy both of them and close the topic before things would get weird. "I've just got to call my mom and let her know what's up so she doesn't worry about me. Give me a second?" she asked, getting out her cell phone and making sure it was charged enough to call her mother.
