((and there goes my originality. . .))
Clark remained more or less quiet through the ride home. He was being contemplative, adn still attempting the whole small talk thing so she wouldn't think he was being odd. He was afraid he'd blown his chance with Regina, that he'd come off as too much of a 'nice guy.' The type of guy that made a great friend, but that you didn't want to date.
He sighed as he put the car in park and turned off the ignition. He unbuckled his seat belt and turned to look at Reggie.
"I'll walk you to your door, if that's all right," he offered.

The ride back to her house was quiet, but not necessarily awkward. She was silently running through the different ways this night could end, and contemplating which one was the most likely. Of course, she couldn’t really predict what Clark was going to do. He seemed very nice, and there was a chance that he’d just drop her off and leave. Then there was the ‘walk you to your door’ set-up for a kiss. Or, had he just been playing up the nice guy act to try and get in her pants?
"I'll walk you to your door, if that's all right,"
Well, that answered one of her questions. She didn’t mind, though. She was starting to actually like Clark. She didn’t know him all that well, but what she did know about him she liked. He seemed like a genuine person.
“Yeah, I’d like that,” she said, unbuckling herself and opening her car door, shutting it gently behind her. Some people were touchy about their cars, and hated it when people slammed their doors.

Clark walked around to Regina's side of the car, smiling as he noticed that she was careful about closing the door. He was wearing a grey knee-length coat over his causal suit ensemble now and stuck his hands in his pockets so that he wouldn't fidget.
He stopped when they had reached her front door. Well this was it. He wondered if she was even considering calling him back for another date, or if she would run into her house and begin the process of forgetting tonight.
"Well, this was fun. I had a good time," he said to her. "I guess this is goodnight."
He went to turn to leave, and then seemed to think better of it. He hesitated breifly and then slid his hand around her neck to lean in for a kiss. He hoped she hadn't brought mace on some level of his subconious.

They walked silently from his car to her doorstep. It was an apartment complex, nothing fancy, but it was enough for her to call home. She lived by herself, ater all, and didn't need a whole lot of space since she was working most of the time anyway.
"Well, this was fun. I had a good time,"
"I did too," she agreed, smiling. "It's been a while since I've had the free time to go out for a drink." It had been rather relaxing, and a nice change of pace. Her last few dates had completely fallen through, but this one had turned out okay in the end. She was pleased.
"I guess this is goodnight."
He turned to leave, and Regina started to say goodnight back, only to stop as Clark changed his mind and turned to face her again. He reached a hand out, placing his arm around her neck as he leaned in for a kiss. Her initial reaction was surprise; she had been pretty sure he was just going to say goodnight and leave. She returned the kiss, slowly, bringing one of her arms up to rest on Clark's arm as she leaned into the kiss.
((ooc- I'm guessing a short goodbye kiss? Unless Clark wants to make a move or something. I guess I'll let you reply.))

Clark tensed immediately when he felt her raise her arm, bu twas relieved when she put it on his arm instead of pushing him away. He pulled away after a minute or so, and felt himself grinning.
"I, umm, we should do this again sometime," he said softly.

Regina pulled away as well, a little happier than she had been a few moments ago. The kiss had been a perfect ending to the date, and she was glad that it had happened.
"I think we should too," she said. "Are you free on Wednesday?" she asked, curiously. That was the next day she had off, and she would love to go out with him again.

"Yeah, I get out of work at 5 Wednesday," Clark said still speaking softly.
He was afraid if her raised his voice he'd ruin the moment they'd just had and snap them back to reality.

Regina picked up on the softer tones the both of them were using to preserve the moment. It was almost an impulse, though, and she was hardly aware that she was doing it as well.
"Maybe we could meet for dinner, another drink, or something. At six?" she questioned, figuring that an hour would give him enough time to get ready or whatever it was that guys did before dates. Sleep, most likely. She would love to get him out, to a bar, or a club, but she doubted that was really his scene.

"Drinks would be nice. . .or dinner. Whatever you want," Clark said.
He was willing to trust her to pick this time since she'd trusted his judgment last time. ((I think))
"Six'll be fine," he said, grinning again. "So I guess. . .I'll see you then."

So it was her turn to pick now? Hmmm... well, Regina wasn't in the mood to make a decision just then. She supposed that she had a few days to think about it. Who knew what she'd be in the mood for tomorrow?
"Alright," she said. "Pick me up here? Or should we meet somewhere?" she thought to ask quickly, before he left. She would've offered to drive to his place, but she didn't even know where he lived.

Not knowing what she would choose for the evening, Clark opted against the idea of them meeting somewhere.
"I can pick you up here, if you want," he said.

Regina nodded. "Okay. I'll see you then," she agreed, smiling at the prospect of a second date. " 'Night," she added, before he walked away.
