Roast Beef and a Baked Potato!

"THey all seem nice enough," Tad said with a nonchalant shrug. "I mean a little more. . .outgoing than I'm used to. . .and no offense man but you're mom's very overwhlming grandiose (or whatever). . . but they seem okay."

[Desmond Giuseppe]

Yeah, she's like that." said Desmond, "Well, at least she's cool about me being gay; a lot of kids aren't so lucky so I can't really complain."

"Nonsense!" exclaimed Maggie, "In fact, I bet you could win the King of Babylon Contest coming up in April! Rupert is hosting! I've been trying to talk Rich into entering too!"

"And I've declined the suggestion each time." said Rich with a small smile, "Not my thing."

[jon]

"Oh, I doubt that," Jon said with a chuckle. "I don't suppose it could hurt to check the place out, but I think entering a contest is a little out of my league. I'll have to agree with Rich here: it's just not my thing."

[rupert]

Suddenly there was a beeping noise from the kitchen. "My roast is done!" exclaimed Rupert as he skipped into the kitchen. "Hello kiddies!" he said merrily to his daughter and the two boys as he put on his oven mitts and pulled his roast beef out of the oven. Now he just had to cut it and serve it! He looked back down in to the oven and gave one of the baked potatoes in it a little squeeze; they felt done. He pulled them out of the oven as well. He poked his head into the living room. "I'll have dinner out in five!" he sang. "Could you all be dears and get the stuff for the baked potatoes out of the fridge and into the dinning room?" he asked the three teenagers in his kitchen.

"Uh, sure thing," Tad said with a shrug. He figured it was cool thathe just went to the fridge and opened it. Glancing back at Audrey he asked,

"What exactly are we looking for here?"

[audrey]

Audrey sighed. "Haven you ever had a baked potato before?" she asked impatiently, "Oh, well, here we go. We need sour cream, butter, shredded cheese, and bacon bits." she said placing each item in Tad's arms as she said them. "Now be a good little Noobie and put the stuff on the table."

[Desmond Giuseppe]

Desmond sighed at Audrey's actions. "Here," he said taking half of the items from Tad, "Let me just help you with that." He lead Tad in to the dinning room and put his half of the backed potato stuff on the table. "Just put it anywhere." he said.

"Well I suppose we should all make our way to the dinning room then!" said Maggie, getting up out of her seat and heading toward the dinning room.

Rich followed.

Tad followed Desmond's orders, after muttering "thanks" and shooting a judgemental glare at Audrey, jokingly, and put the items anywhere on the table: not on the plates or silverware obviously.

[Desmond Giuseppe]

"Let's just sit and wait here for the food." said Desmond, "If Mr. Kensington needs anything else we'll let Audrey handle it." Desmond took a seat at the table and pull out the chair next to him for Tad.

"Sounds lilke a plan," Tad said taking the seat.

[allan]

"I agree." said Allan, "Off to the dinning room then!" He went into the dinning room and took a seat at the head of the table.

[jon]

Jon followed and took a seat at the table along with the others.

"It's smells lovely,"he said.

[rupert]

"Here I come!" exclaim Rupert carring out a plate of roast beef, Audrey following with the baked potatoes. He placed it in the center of the table and sat down at the other end of the table opposite Allan. "Dig in!" he sang.

Jon put some of the food onto his plate and then took Tad's and got him some.

"There you go, tuck in," he said. After eating some of the food, he truned to Rupert. "This really is fantastic."

It was nice to have friends again. It was lonely now that Brandon was gone and his old friends were a hundred miles away.

"So does this Babylon place have conests often?" he asked.
