Ezekiel pulled up outside of Marcoh's house. He was driving his 1998 Pontiac Sunfire, and was pulled up to the curb, right next to the mailbox of Marcoh's house. He had finished the book he had borrowed, and it had been quite good. He was going to wait until he saw the boy in school to give it back to him, until he noticed that Marcoh had printed his name and address inside the front over. Now, at first Zeke decided that showing up to his house was a bad idea. Marcoh just didn't seem to be very interested in him, after all. But then he had run into Christian. Zeke had been thinking about him all day, and needed something to take his mind off of Christian. He figured that if anybody could do that, then Marcoh could. There was just something about the sophomore, something that Zeke found irresistable. This was partially because the two of them seemed to have so much in common with each other. So Zeke parked his car, grabbed Marcoh's book, and got out. Walking up the pathway to the door, he wondered how Marcoh would react to him just showing up at his door. Would he take the book and ask Zeke to leave? There were so many different ways this could go, and Zeke wasn't left to wonder for long as he rang the doorbell and waited. ((ooc- his car, because it is rather cool. ^_^ The cool car only adds to his hotness)) images.consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/autoreview/400x266/1995-2005-pontiac-sunfire-96129221990210.jpg

Marcoh had been sitting on the couch, watching 'What Not to Wear' and listening to his sister make remarks at the unfortunate looking girl who was getting a makeover. Well, he hadn't really been watching or listening; his mind was too preoccupied with other things (specifically someone. It was so hard to join in with Michelle's banter with Zeke on his mind.... yum, Zeke...
Then the doorbell rang.
The two broke into a mini-scuffle as they both tried to shove each other off the couch - the person standing had to answer the door - and it ended with Marcoh in a heap on the floor. Chucking a pillow non-violently at her and watching her punch it aside, he shuffled to the door and opened it, only to have his heart skip a beat.
Zeke was standing at his door. Zeke was at the door, standing there, at Marcoh's door. Standing. At Marcoh's door.
....ooooohhhhmmmygooooooddddddd.
"Hi." he blurted awkwardly, adjusting his glasses and patting his hair down where he was certain it was sticking up. This was absolutely and ridiculously unbelievable and good god it was amazing.

Zeke heard the scuffle that broke out inside, and was almost worried about who would come to the door. After all, he hadn't really thought this whole idea through very far. What if Marcoh wasn't home? What if someone else answered the door, and just took the book for him? Then he wouldn't even get the chance to try and talk to Marcoh. Then there was always the fact that his parents might answer the door, and play the 20-questions game that most parents did when they realized their kid made a new friend. He hadn't been banking on anything like that.
Which was why it was such a relief when the person who finally opened the door was Marcoh. He couldn't help but think about how cute he looked, trying to flatten down his hair which was standing up a little. Zeke wondered why he cared so much about what others thought of him all the time, but let it go.
"Hey," he said, spotting someone else in the background. His sister? Zeke remembered hearing someone else in the school with the last name of Kinsley, and assumed that the two of them must've been related. Marcoh hadn't mentioned her at all, yet, which wasn't a big deal since they had only spoken twice.
"I hope you don't think this is creepy. I finished your book, though. And you wrote your address on the inside, so I figured, hey, I'm bored, why not drop it off?" Zeke held up Solaris in order to prove his point, smiling as he did so. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Marcoh stared at Zeke, not quite unblinkingly, but close. He was so terribly giddy, but he did his best to hide it - even though he was practically doing the can-can in his mind.
"No, nothing at all." he replied to Zeke's concern, waving his hands as if the fact that they were empty proved that he wasn't busy in the least.
After a moment of letting his brain catch up with what was going on - OHMYGODZEKE'SATMYHOUSE - he realized that he should probably do something. Would Zeke wanna come in? Or was he just here to drop off the book and bolt? What to do, what to do.... ahh!

Michelle grinned devilishly as she came up behind her brother and popped into view.
"Why, is this the infamous Zeke? I've heard all about you. How nice of you to stop by and return Marcoh's book," she began over-enthusiastically, feeling her brother's shoulders tense under her chin, "Would you like to come in?"
She was doing her brother a favor, really. He'd probably end up spazzing out as usual, and Michelle, being as concerned for her little brother (and sick of his moaning on and on) was going to do her best to get them together... or at least to make them make out or something.

Zeke wasn't sure what to say next. He was beginning to worry that every time he would try to talk with Marcoh he was just going to freeze up like this. It was almost as if his mind was working so quickly that he forgot to speak sometimes. After all, this has happened more times than Zeke could count any more. He wanted to get to know Marcoh a little better, at least as friends, but the task was beginning to prove impossible.
"Why, is this the infamous Zeke? I've heard all about you. How nice of you to stop by and return Marcoh's book,"
Ah. Now that was more like it! So he had been right about guessing of Marcoh's sister. There was a girl at the door now who looked almost exactly like Marcoh. They were around the same age as well. She was louder, and bolder, though... the things Marcoh wasn't.
"Oh, have you now?" Zeke said, quirking an eyebrow. He was glad to know that at least Marcoh spoke to someone. He was flattered to think that Marcoh had been talking to his sister about him.
"Would you like to come in?"
Zeke looked around, trying to figure out if he should or not. He had been invited, after all, but it had been by Marcoh's sister, and not Marcoh. What if Marcoh didn't want him to come in? Zeke almost laughed at himself. What did he really care? This was the opportunity he was looking for.
"I'd love to... that is, if that's alright with you?" Zeke added, turning to Marcoh to make sure he didn't mind.

Marcoh would have to thank Michelle later... and kick her too.
"I'd love to... that is, if that's alright with you?"
As embarassed and shy as he was, he still wanted Zeke... um, in his house. (shutuppervybrainshutup). Nodding, Marcoh elbowed his sister discreetly out of the way and allowed him entry into their home.
"Come in." he said, rubbing his neck nervously (Zekeohmygiddygiddygodinsidemyhouse).
It was a small house, the living/dining room probably the biggest of them. There was shaggy, white carpeting in the den area and worn hardwood where the table sat, and just past that was the kitchen tiled with linoleum. The walls were mostly white and the furniture of various colors that went together overall. Sure, it wasn't the nicest house on the block, but it was a warm sort of place. Not to mention the bangin' smell of a roast drifting through the air.

Ezekiel stepped inside, wondering if Marcoh's sister was going to stick around or not. After all, she was the talkative one, and it was quite possible that she might make the conversation progress a little more than if it was just the two of them (Marcoh and Zeke). Just the same, Zeke wanted to talk with Marcoh a little, about pretty much anything he could get him to open up on. If that meant a book discussion on Solaris than he was ready for that as well. He didn't know whether Marcoh would be as comfortable around his sister, who seemed to both help and embarass him at the same time.
"Thanks," he said, stepping inside of Marcoh's home. It was nice and cozy inside, and the smell of dinner cooking in the over was floating through the air. It was nice. Ezekiel's family was so busy all the time that even when they did get the time to cook (which usually only happened when he cooked) it was always rushed, and nobody really got together until just before dinner. Then they ate, and left. His house was larger, yes, but not nearly as cozy. Zeke found it far too easy to seclude himself in his home than it would have been if he had lived here.
"You have a nice house," he said, taking in his surroundings.

"It's alright." Marcoh said, looking around the room like he was a prospect buyer who'd never seen it before. From his little gander around the room, he caught sight of his sister mouthing and gesturing at him.
Take him to your room! she silently screamed, making mad gestures towards the stairs. If Zeke turned around at that moment, she would've dropped her hands automatically and looked around non-chalantly like she hadn't been encouraging her brother to get it on with him.
Marcoh gave his sister a look that said "What the hell!?" and turned back to Zeke.
"Would you like something to drink? We have... um, Dr. Pepper, root beer, water, milk, orange juice..." he ticked off, trying to remember every last beverage in the refrigerator in case he wanted it. Marcoh wanted him to stay, and wasn't bold enough to invite him to his room (despite the fact that he probably wouldn't have the guts to do anything in the first place).

Zeke thought that he saw Marcoh look behind him, and out of curiosity he turned around to look. What he saw was Michelle, standing there with her arms curiously straight by her sides with a slight smile on her face (taking a small liberty there... typical semi-guilty look! Hope that's okay). He have her a coy smile, wondering what she had been doing before he had turned around to look, but let it go at that. He could grow to like this girl.
With that sly smirk still gracing his features, he turned back to face Marcoh. He was half-tempted to ask for a beer to see what the younger boy would do, but decided that he was doing well enough by having him offer drinks in the first place. Zeke didn't want to risk anything because he was trying to test his limits.
"Rootbeer sounds fine," he said, waiting to see if he should follow him into the kitchen or wait there for him to get the drinks.

"Sure thing." he said, eyeing Michelle warily as he went into the kitchen. Who knows what she might do? Still, it would make him look like a spaz and completely rude if he asked her to get the drinks for them. Once he was safetly out of Zeke's sight, Marcoh did a crazy happy dance and grinned for Pittsburgh. He was still blown away by the fact that he had his crush inside his house. After his moment, he retrieved two cans of Barq's from the fridge - and went back for a Dr. Pepper for his sister. From what he knew, Michelle would make a big deal (and a bigger jerk out of him) if he didn't get her something. That was the last thing he needed to happen in front of Zeke. [so, ah, you can post in that little window of opportunity.... ]

Ezekiel watched Marcoh enter into the kitched to get a drink, and figured he had a few moments to himself. That was, until he realized that Michelle was still there.
"So, you're Marcoh's sister?" he asked, taking the opportunity to look around the room and try to take in any small details that might tell him more about Marcoh and his family. Zeke was always a very astute observer, and so he made sure to take in his surroundings. Of course, he didn't want to appear too nosy since Michelle was in the room watching him. Otherwise, he probably would have looked around a little bit more.

"Nope." Michelle replied, deciding to test Zeke out a little. "I'm a third-world baby they adopted during a trip to Cambodia." He seemed like a nice enough guy certainly, but if they were going to get together - and by get together she meant more than borrowing books from each other - then she wanted to make sure he was capable of dealing with awkward scenarios, unlike her half-retarded brother. "Oh, and the naked baby pictures are on the mantel." Michelle loud-whispered, raising her eyebrows and pointing to the fireplace, expression humorously straight.

Zeke laughed at Michelle's third-world-baby adoption claim. He didn't want to offend her if she really was adopted, but he figured that she was just messing with him. He had a sense of humor too, which was something people seemed to forget sometimes (what with the whole, gay blackbelt thing).
"Well, aren't you just about the whitest third-world baby I've ever seen," he joked, smirking slightly. He liked this girl. She had spunk, and he admired that... he was just a little shocked because she seemed to be the polar opposite of her brother. Not that Zeke minded Marcoh's awkwardness, as it only added to his attraction.
Zeke had noticed the pictures before, but hadn't wanted to be awkward himself by snooping around in front of Michelle. He took that statement as permission to go over and examine them more closely. He silently thanked God that his parents didn't have anything like that of him just lying around in the open.
"Awww..." he said, in that fake voice everyone used when they saw a baby. "Well isn't that just the cutest-" Zeke was glad he had made the effort to come all the way out here. It was paying off rather nicely.

Marcoh had returned to the living room with sodas in hand and and stopped abruptly upon realizing exactly what Zeke was looking at.
ohmyjesuslordylordlordthenakedones.
Blushing profusely, he shifted his weight awkwardly and avoided eye contact.
"I don't know why they keep those up, ah..." he said, trying to convince himself that Zeke wasn't going to care about naked baby photos... even if they were utterly embarrassing, and by nude photos, he meant entirely nude with his thingy out and about.

Zeke wasn't embarassed at all by being caught with the baby pictures. After all, Marcoh could've only been a maximum of two years old at the time, probably only one or younger. Naked didn't mean anything at that age; kids lived to run around with their clothes off, and parents loved to take pictures of it. End of story.
"I think it's obvious: they keep them up because they're adorable. Look at those cheeks," Zeke said, obviously using the play on words to reference both baby Marcoh's rosy cheeks and his naked butt. Though he tried to show that it was all in good fun, he couldn't manage to make eye contact with Marcoh who was avoiding his gaze like the plague.
"Thanks," he said, taking his soda and tapping it a few times (assuming it was a can/bottle, and not poured into a cup or anything) to make sure it wouldn't fizz all over the place. Satisfied that it wasn't shaken up at all, he opened the lid and took a sip.

"So Marcoh," Michelle began slyly, pretending that her nails were suddenly the most fascinating things to study, "You should give Zeke a little tour.... you know, the kitchen, the bathrooms, your room."
She looked up at Zeke during the last suggestion with a smile that wasn't at all trying to hide her deviously suggestive thoughts.
"What do you think, Zeke?" Michelle asked, tilting her head to the side with that same smile stuck fast to her face.

Zeke listened to Michelle, wondering how Marcoh was feeling about having her for a sister right then. Probably not the best of thoughts, he was willing to guess, but he smiled back just the same.
"Zeke thinks that you ought not to stick your nose where it doesn't belong," he said, just as slyly. "But thanks for the suggestion. I'm sure Marcoh can decide what he wants to do or not. As I am the guest, it is only polite for the host to decide such things."
Zeke was quite enjoying this clever banter between himself anf Michelle, but knew that soon she would have to take her leave so that he could at least talk with Marcoh. The boy wasn't going to loosen up any more with her around... in fact, the longer she stayed there the more tense Marcoh seemed.

This one was definitely a keeper.
"Alright, then. I get it, you know, the third person talk. I'll be making my exit then." she said, popping off the couch and raising her eyebrows at the two, making sure to keep that expression on her face as she walked up the stairs, backwards. As soon as she reached the landing, she scurried down the hall to her own room and kept an ear close to the door. If Marcoh screwed this up, she was going to kill him.

Marcoh watched his sister leave with a hand secure around his mouth, partially to hide the blush he was sporting and partially to keep from laughing. It was so embarrassing, the situation, but when Michelle was acting so ridiculous, it was actually somewhat funny... in an awkward way. "Right then." he said quietly, adjusting his glasses and smoothing back his hair. Looking towards Zeke and immediately melting in a hyperbole-ish way, he gave a sigh and shifted his weight. What to do, what to do, dear jesus, what to do... "Do you, ah, want to see the house?" he found himself asking before he could stop. After he said it, Marcoh looked everywhere but in Zeke's direction whilst internally screaming "WHY??!!!OMGX0RZ!!!! ".

Zeke watched Michelle take her leave, knowing full well that as long as he pursued this friendship with with Marcoh it wouldn't be the last time he'd see her.
"Take care," he told her, waving as she slowly backed up the stairs.
Turning back to face Marcoh, sure that Michelle wasn't too far away, he waited to see what he would do. "I'd love to," Zeke said, though he wondered if Marcoh really wanted to give him a tour or not. He didn't want to make him do something he didn't want to, but since he had offered... Truth be told, he was rather curious as to what Marcoh's room looked like, You could tell a lot about a person by their room, after all!

Marcoh nodded and glanced around, searching for somewhere to take him. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. It wasn't like his room was the only one in the house; he'd show Zeke around and probably spend a maximum of two minutes in his room.... unless he wanted to stay... and... "Ah, this is the living room." he blurted before his mind could pursue that perverted train of thought. Gesturing his arms at the walls, Marcoh scratched his neck and flushed. He had to recover! "And, um, that's the kitchen." he added quickly, as to not seem like a complete idiot. He was getting better at not being a total spaz around Zeke but still had some work to do. However, as he led Zeke around his split level, it felt almost completely comfortable to be around him, which was a huge improvement from the bookstore and school. Maybe Zeke would actually want to be good friends once he saw this change. That thought made Marcoh blush a bit - that, and the fact that they were now in front of his room. Luckily he was a habitual cleaner; his room was acceptably tidy, spare a few shirts tossed onto the floor. Silently thanking god that he'd put away his plastic nun-chucks, Marcoh opened the door and allowed Zeke the opportunity to walk in (or just peer around. wherever you want this to go ). "This is my room, obviously." Marcoh said, feeling it almost compulsory, despite the fact that there were notable signs of his personality scattered about, from the enormous bookcase that nearly took up one wall from the Star Wars and Tron posters that decorated the walls. He wondered what Zeke would think of his room and felt a bit self-conscious about what he would say. [ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww]

Zeke nodded slowly as he was shown both the living room as well as the kitchen. The first of which was the room he was currently standing in, and the second of which was the room Marcoh had just come from. Still, Marcoh was speaking in full sentences, and hadn't gotten overly embarassed as of yet... which was definitely a step in the right direction.
Zeke wondered if he was slowly opening up. That would be some remarkable progress from what he'd been like that morning in the janitor's closet. What a way to meet someone, after all. Of course he'd been timid; Zeke had practically broken a door and nearly killed the Evans brothers. He could see how that might be intimidating to an underclassman.
Following Marcoh down the hall, they stopped in front of the next door, which Marcoh pushed open and introduced as his own room. Zeke could tell. The room was littered with things that just struck him as 'Marcoh'-ish, from what little he knew about him. Esepcailly the Sci-Fi stuff and the bookcase. If there was one thing he knew about him, it was that Marcoh was into books. He was probably an extremely intelligent kid for all the books he read.
"I love what you've done with the place," Zeke said, since a silence had fallen over the two of them. He did a brief 180 degree turn, taking in the whole room. What he realized was that now that he was here, alone with Marcoh in his bedroom, all he wanted to do was kiss him. He fought that urge... for the moment, at least. Just a few hours ago he had been pining over Christian again. Now he was lusting after Marcoh, a sophomore he'd only met two days ago (or something like that). What was going on with him lately?
"I've never seen so many books outside of a library... or a bookstore..." he added, trying to keep his own head on straight. It was obvious by his tone that he really was impressed. "I think you may have beat out my own personal collection!"

"Yeah, there are a lot. My parents don't mind either - they're just glad it's books and not crack." Marcoh joked, hands on his hips a bit proudly. Now that he looked at it, he imagined seeing it for the first time and realized that it was pretty huge. He'd just gotten so used to it that it didn't seem like such a big deal. Hopefully Zeke would interpret the books as a sign of intelligence and not just nerdy-ness.
Shuffling in slowly, he joined Zeke in the middle of his room and continued to look around, avoiding the situation at hand: Zeke in HIS ROOM. Feeling the nervousness coming back, Marcoh tried his best to keep the awkward feelings at bay.
"Well, if this only may have beat out your collection, I'd like to see it. Your books, I mean." he said, meeting Zeke's gaze with a smile. Goodness gracious, he was gorgeous.

"Yeah, I can't really see a parent in their right mind complaining about too many books," Zeke said, agreeing with Marcoh's 'better books than crack' comment. It was a valid statement; Zeke had always been staying up well past lights-out as a child, but it had usually been to finish whatever book he was reading. His parents had never once punished him for that.
Zeke knew how this was going to end up. Marcoh was going to quickly move him out of his room, finish the tour, there would be nothing left to say or do, and then he'd end up having to leave before things got awkward. Well, that was, unless Zeke decided to do something, which was exactly what he did. Something.
Finding that the bed was cleared off, Zeke decided to take a small step first. He sat down on the edge of Marcoh's bed, making himself comfortable. Ah, the sacred bed. "You should come over some time. And see it," he added slyly, glad that Marcoh was meeting his gaze once more. He was gaining confidence. Smiling himself, he added, "My door is always open." Zeke took a sip of his soda, careful not to spill any on Marcoh's bed.
