Garrett remembered. . .albeit too late. . .that he really didn't know exactly where Faye's locker was. He knew her last name was Prewitt, so he backtracked from his locker by reversed alphabetical order.
He hoped she'd be around as it was the end of the day, and he had told Desmond and Cynthia he'd go to the meeting. She'd sounded interested in going to for a little recon work, so he hoped she'd agree to go with. He really didn't want to go to this by himself. Besides, he wouldn't mind if a pretty girl came along with, although the chances of that working out in his favour were slim to nil.
Ah well, all he could do now was hope her locker was somewhere nearby.

Faye was late getting to her locker, but she didn't mind. She wasn't one to get stressed out over little things like that. She walked home most of the time anyway, so she didn't feel the need to rush. As she waved a goodbye to the friend she'd been talking to as she walked down the hallway, Faye turned to go towards her locker. As she did, she spotted Garrett wandering aimlessly around the corridor.
"Hey," she said, walking to her locker which was only about seven away from where he'd been standing. "Looking for someone?"

Garrett looked up with a bit of relief evident on his face, as he heard the semi-familiar voice of Faye. He grinned a bit and wandered over to her locker.
"Yeah actually," he said. "You."
He leaned up against the locker next to hers, with his back facing the front of the locker. He hunched over a bit as he so often did to compensate for others being shorter.
"Hey I was wondering if you'd be willing to do a bit of sneaking around?" he asked. "See I told some of my friends I'd show up at the Prayer Circle or whatever tonight, and I don't want to go by myself. Then I remembered you'd said you were interested earlier. . .. So what d'you say?"

"Yeah actually," he said. "You."
Faye laughed and feigned modesty. "Me? Really?" she said, putting her hand over her heart in mock... (yeah, you know, that thing you do. I've been repeating the motion several times now, but it hasn't helped me in describing it.) Really, she was surprised, and a little glad that he'd come looking for her. It made her feel special.
"Hey I was wondering if you'd be willing to do a bit of sneaking around?"
"Define sneaking around?" she asked, quirking an eyebrow.
"See, I told some of my friends I'd show up at the Prayer Circle or whatever tonight, and I don't want to go by myself. Then I remembered you'd said you were interested earlier. . .. So what d'you say?"
Faye thought the proposal over in her head and nodded. "That does sound like fun," she said, nodding. "Sure! Any chance to see what that sneak Prudence is up to," she added.

Garrett felt his face get hot. Despite all his claims to his brothers that he had "lots of fans" he never knew how to react to girls. With girls like Audrey it was different. . .friends were easy to talk around, but he didn't really know Faye all that well. He contented himself with a smirk.
"That does sound like fun. Sure! Any chance to see what that sneak Prudence is up to."
"Great, thanks," he said, relieved. He didn't want to be stuck amongst all the ridiculous Christians by himself. He was sure he could pull it off if he had too, but he really didn't want to. "So I guess I'll meet you there? Or do you want to meet up and go together? Either ways fine for me."

"So I guess I'll meet you there? Or do you want to meet up and go together? Either ways fine for me."
Faye thought this over. There were so many ways that this could go. If they showed up together then Prude and the others might have thought something was up. If they just happened to meet up there, though, that would be even weirder, because neither of them would go on their own. She didn't know which would be more realistic.
"We'll meet up there, but go in together. It'll be more like I asked you to come, or something. They'll believe that. I've never done anything un-Christian to make them distrust me," she added, smiling slightly. This was going to be tons of fun! Plus, it gave her an excuse to hang out with Garrett. She wouldn't admit this to anybody, but she was pretty sure she was starting to get a little crush. Not that it meant anything, she had plenty of crushes, but it was there none the less.
