For the first time ever Ravi hoped that he wouldn't run into Kyan at school. It was the first school day after the whole Babylon fiasco with Conner and Kyan and Ravi had tried his hardest to fake sick that morning. To his great dismay both his mothers were able to see through his act and sent him off to school. After quickly running to his locker then dropping his books off in his first class he went into the most unused stair well and hid at the bottom of it to hopefully avoid any run ins with Kyan. He was so embarrassed after the other night that he didn't think he could even look at Kyan with out want to run home and hide in his closet and never come out and he prayed to God that Kyan hadn't seen him crying. He seemed to have the worst luck ever.

Kyan hopped over the last railing in one of the least frequented stair wells. He landed on the floor with his back facing where Ravi was sitting. He straightened himself up, and pulled out a packet of cigarettes and took one out, placing it in his lips and pulling out his lighter in one swift movement. He clicked the lighter and lit his cigarette before turnign around so he could lean up aginst the wall and enjoy a smoke. It was then he saw Ravi sitting under the stariwell.
"What are you doing down there?" he asked.

Fuck, Kyan. But he'd tried so hard to hid from him! Ravi certain had the worst luck of anyone he'd ever seen. At first he hoped Kyan wouldn't notice him, but when Kyan turned around all his hopes were crushed into tiny little bit sized pieces like M&Ms or skittles. He thought to run, but decided he didn't want to be a whiny little queer like he had been the other night, even if he felt embarrassed as hell.
"I-I was just, you know, wanting a quiet place to think." he said quiet. He couldn't even look at Kyan, instead he just stared at a pile of dust bunnies on the floor with his face bright red. He was sure he could heat an igloo in the Arctic for a week with the about of heat he felt coming off his face just then.

Kyan tried to ignore the fact that Ravi's face was a crimson hue. He took another drag off his cigarette.
"Well don't let me stop you, I'll only be a minute or two," he said. "Hey, sorry about that cunt last night. Paul warned me he might be an ass, but I thought he was exagerating."

"Oh, really?" he said weakly. Then why did you fuck him? "Yeah, he was a real jerk. I-I feel sorry for that Paul kid. . . ." He trailed off not really know what else to say. Maybe that Kyan should have brought Conner in the first place because he had agreed to meet Ravi there? Ravi didn't have the balls to tell him that, but that was how he felt. . . but he couldn't be mad at Kyan, not with all his hotness.

"He seemed all right up until then," Kyan said with a shrug. "Well, that's not the first time I've fucked an asshole. . . .in more ways than one. . ."
He looked down at Ravi and sighed at him.
"Listen, Ravi," he said. "You and I are great friends. And I just wanted to say that I'm glad. I don't have many guys that are just my friend, and it's nice."
He said this to get his message across. He was being honest, but not in a mean or condecending way, he really did want a friend, adn if he coudl get Ravi to loosen up, he'd be a great friend to go bar hoppign or out to Babylon with.

Friends? Just friends? Ravi felt his eyes begin to fill with tears; he want so badly to be more than friends with Kyan that it hurt. What Kyan thought was words were really verbal knives stabbing Ravi right in the heart. He had to get out of there before he started bawling again. "I got to go!" he said hastily before pushing past Kyan and running up the steps.

"Shit," Kyan muttered, throwing his cigarette on the ground and crushing the ashes. It was only half finished, but he didn't want to finish it. "Everytime I try to talk to him, he runs the fuck away to cry. . . and I'm talking out loud to myself. Weird."

He walked back up the stairs and back to his class.
