There wasn't a whole lot that Brooke could have said to Tadhg last night to make the situation any less awkward, though she hated the way she left things so abruptly. She hoped that he didn't think she wasn't comfortable with their relationship or anything, but... his dad had walked in on them making out. Shirtless. In his living room. Only a week or so after she and Tad had walked in on his father half-naked with another guy. Seriously, she couldn't have imagined things working out any worse, but that wasn't a reflection of their actual relationship. Just some bad luck. Right?
She knew that the best thing for her to do would be to wait for him to show up in the parking lot. She didn't want for him to think she was embarrassed or trying to avoid him or anything...
((ooc- would they be driving to school together? If so, I'll pretend she had a meeting before school... early cheerleading practice or something))

Tad pulled up in whatever brand of little black car I initially gave him, with all the bumper stickers on it. He switched into park and took his keys out of the ignition, ending the song that was playing: What's Left of the Flag. As he got out of his car, he swung his messenger bag onto his shoulder and turned around.
He noticed Brooke waiting in the parking lot. He didn't want to assume she was waiting for him, after all, he was sure she had other friends. Nevertheless, he walked towards her, the events of the previous night still fresh in his mind.
"Hey there," he said. "What's, umm, new?"

"Besides the fact that I'm not sure that I can ever face your father again, then... nothing," she said, trying to keep a good-natured tone to her voice though it was clear that she really was concerned about how she appeared to Tadhg's father. "What about you? Sorry on skipping out like that, but... you understand, right?"
She hoped he wasn't angry at him.
"On the up side, all in all I think it was a pretty good night," she added, with a somewhat sly smile. "The ending could've been better, but... well, that would probably be asking too much."

"What about you? Sorry on skipping out like that, but... you understand, right?"
"Yeah," he assured her. "I was actually a little jealous. I had to stick around the rest of the night, cause I live there, or I'd have been out of there like lightning."
"On the up side, all in all I think it was a pretty good night. The ending could've been better, but... well, that would probably be asking too much."
"Well, we'll just have to try for a normal date some other time," he said with a coy expression and an arched eyebrow.

Brooke just laughed a little, shaking her head at Tadhg's comment which could be taken in a number of ways. She was just glad that there were no hard feelings between the two of them, despite the fact that she had run out last night.
"Yes, a normal date. Speaking of normal," she said, smirking. "How's the drag show planning going? I know things've been hectic with cheerleading lately, I wish I could help you guys out more..." Brooke wanted to show an interest in the things Tadhg was involved with, and since his father was gay and he was in the GSA she had been to a meeting or two since they started dating. She'd been too busy for the past few, though.

"Don't even get me started," Tad said with exaggerated resignation. "First you get me into this whole mess and then you don't even stick around to see what happens?"
He winked to show he was only joking about that. He wasn't overly thrilled about having to wear a dress, but when the time came he would suck it up and put i ton like all the other boys. What's the worst that could happen?
"But honestly, Desmond's really excited about it. He's printing up flyers and everything," he said. "Things are moving along nicely."
