It had been some time since Garrett, the so called spy for ACS, had given Prudence any type of report so naturally she was starting to get concerned. She had her doubts in Garrett from the beginning , but took a chance and trusted him anyway. If her little spy was betraying her, well, she certainly couldn't have that now could she? Her suspicions were raised further when Garrett's cousin, Blane, had told Prudence that Garrett had been at a party with Desmond and company. Garrett never told Prudence he planned to do this nor did he make it a point of telling her if anything happened. This displease Prudence very much so she arrange to met Garrett after school.
She waited for him in the usual ACS classroom. She had left multiple notes in his locker telling him when and where to met her so he had no excuse to not show up. She waited, sitting at the teachers desk and tapping her fingernails on the cheap wood in anticipation. She kept her eyes on the door so the first thing Garrett saw when he came in was her cold blue eyes staring into his damned soul.

Garrett was wary of meeting up with Prudence after class, and he had good reason to be. He knew that not telling the ACS about the party was a risky move, but there hadn't been time. Now he'd have to listen to Prudence and her degrading and as always patronizing tones.
He'd been staying at Faye's house for the past two days, however since I'm not certain if Erica wanted to have an actual post of that or not I'll skip over the details of that. It had been nice to have the little break from reality though. To forget for a little while about his home and the stupid ACS.
He crumpled up the four or five notes he'd had around and in his locker and chucked them at a trashcan beneath the water fountain. Once he arrived at the ACS meeting classroom, he saw immediately that Prudence was staring him down. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his favorite black hoodie: the one with the stars all across it. (Like astronomy stars, not five pointed)
"You wanted to talk?" he asked.

"Yes." said Prudence and it was the most perfectly pronounced 'yes' ever in the history of the English language. She gave Garrett a good look down as though she could see right into his soul and spot the blackened sinned thing inside of him. Based on Garrett's posture she could tell right away that he'd been dreading this meeting.
"I was wondering why it's been so long since you've given me any type of report." she began in an airy tone, "I was under the impression that you were doing some under cover work for me so it just struck me as odd that you haven't made any effort to prove that all your detective work has paid off. And as far as going to that Halloween party with the fagot parade and not bothering to tell me, why, that's simply unacceptable. I had to hear this bit of information from your cousin who seemed shocked to learn that you were working for me. What your cousin told me didn't give me much confidence in you, Garrett, but it gave me, I think, a great ally in keeping you under control. If I so much as get a hint of suspicion that you're back stabbing me then I'll go straight to your father and see what he thinks about it."
Even though Prudence had never been a fan of Blane Robinson, their little chat had paid off; Prudence had learned that Garrett's father didn't like hearing about his son hanging out with fagots. As much as Prudence hated violence, she found it necessary in situations like these, ones where sinners needed to be punished for their wrong doings.

"Look, I don't exactly go around telling all my business to Blane," Garrett said defensively. "I don't know if you've noticed, but we don't exactly get along. So yeah, his not knowing about my business isn't a real shock to me."
Garrett hated Prudence. He could feel that ate welling up inside him, but he wouldn't let her see it or even know it because that was exactly what she was looking for. That moment when he would slip up and let them know exactly how he felt about the ACS.
"There wasn't a good time for me to find you or Justice to tell you guys about the party," he said. "And I figured it'd be better to go and not find you, then to arouse their suspicion by having to purposely go out of my way to find one of you guys. Blane just wanted to start trouble by getting to you guys first."
That was true mostly, he would have come to them so as not to make himself look suspicious, but his jackass cousin had to go poking his nose in other people's business. That wasn't the only trouble he'd started either. Garrett hadn't been home in nearly three days. He knew it would be bad when he did, but he wanted to at least wait until school started back and Faye had something to be distracted by.

"My, aren't we full of excuses." said Prudence, turning in the desk chair she was sitting and gracefully standing up and walking around the desk with her arms crossed. She walked right up to the boy and looked him straight in the eye which wasn't exactly easy considering she was eye level with the boy's shoulders. She didn't know whether or not to believe Garrett. On one hand, as much as she hated to admit it, he did have good reasoning. On the other hand, it was the perfect bull shit excuse to fool her into thinking he was really on her side. Perhaps her desperation for wanting a spy was the only thing keeping her faith in Garrett. So far there had only been very small instances that have cause her not to trust him. Perhaps she was just paranoid. Prudence did believe Garrett's falling out with Desmond to be genuine, but perhaps was their make up as well? For the time being Prudence had no legitimate proof of Garrett back stabbing her so she'd just have to put her faith in God to punish him if he was.
"Very well," said Prudence finally. She turned her back on him and went over to sit on a near by desk to once again face him, "I'll let it go this time. I imagine having to go fourth with this detective roll on top of having to endure the company of such undesirables as Giuseppe and company has left you a bit stressed. I suppose it's only expected of you to accidentally forget to check in with me while trying to evade the suspicions of the fag clan." Prudence paused to take a deep breath.
"I'll admit that all this is starting to stress me as well," she said almost somberly, "It's not easy being a messenger for God when many people disagree with that you're trying to do. And, believe it or not, I think most people see me as a, well, as a 'bitch'." Ugh, now she was going to have to say three Hail Marys for cursing. "All I'm trying to do is save people's souls. After all, that's what Jesus would do." Prudence looked over Garrett's head and spotted the clock; it was 2:45. It was getting dangerously close to 3:30 when she had to go down town to work at the soup kitchen like she did every Monday. She actually looked forward to it; it felt good to help people in need, that and she got to hang out with her friends in the process. It was really a win-win for everyone involved.
"Unless you have anything you'd like to tell me I must be off; I'm suppose to work at the soup kitchen at 3:30." she said, keeping her superior demeanor, but panicking slightly at the thought of being late. "Oh and that reminds me; I have to start organizing toys for tots. . " he muttered to herself. She made a mental note to right down a reminder in her ACS notebook.

Garrett felt relief wash over him as Prudence decided to believe what he'd told her. And when she's mentioned being called a bitch, he refrained from offering some of the other names he'd heard people use when describing her. He doubted that if Jesus were around however, stopping guys from having sex with one another would be his top priority. He also kept this to himself however, as Prudence seemed eager to go to the soup kitchen. Despite his overwhelming dislike for her, he had to respect her willingness to help others: soup kitchen, toys for tots, etc. She just couldn't realize when she was taking things to far. Like roping him into all this nonsense. . .or trying to purify the school.
"Yeah, I don't think anything of overwhelming importance happened after Blane caused a scene at my expense," he informed her. "Mostly it ended up being a few of us St. James kids, and a lot of GW students."

Prudence sighed; it figured. She hoped to st least hear about Desmond doing something incredibly immoral like making out with another male out in the open or having sex in a broom closet or something. Really anything to help along her case against the GSA and Giuseppe himself. Of course she knew that Desmond was better than that, but she had hoped while intoxicated he would lose his judgment and do something stupid. Obviously not.
"Fine, fine fine." she said with a sigh, "Well, I suppose we both have places to be, but let make this a regular thing from now on; every Monday after school we shall meet in here to discuss certain matters. I'll expect you on time, no excuses. Ta ta." said Prudence. With her head held high in a very snotty manner she left the room with not so much as a backward glance at Garrett.
