He's laid back, and figures that if he works hard then he deserves to play hard. He's easy to be friends with, jokes around all the time, and can be counted on to lighten any mood and be the life of any party.

Background: Things have always been easy for Edmund. He was always the one with good grades and a million friends - though he always managed to find time for you, to invite you to a little get-together he was having, or a concert he thought you might be interested in (because he always managed to remember your musical tastes). Never rude or disrespectful, always picking up your pen when you dropped it or holding a door open - he was everywhere at once and always welcome. Naturally skilled at the drums, he'd been playing since he was six and has been in more bands than he can count, in which he was usually the MVP, keeping both the rhythm and the peace when creative attitudes clashed. Girls wanted him, boys wanted to be him, and, well, he was gddamn happy. The transition to college was smooth, and though the temptation was there, he never got into drugs or alcohol. He majors in music business, and hopes to own a recording studio someday. He also likes to goof around with a camera once in a while, taking pictures and video of his friends when he feels the urge.

Background:

Jess grew up with a quirky sort of family, but nothing detrimental to his personality. He was bookish all through out high school, and did get picked on a bit for his intelligence, and his short stature. Jess is fully grown now, and only 5'6" tall. He used to be embarrassed by this, but doesn't much care now. He excelled in his English classes and soon found himself with an English scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh where he would study to become and English teacher: please control any Bye Bye Birdie outbursts. Artemis grew up in a basically normal household. His parents were always very supportive of every decision he made. Although Arty's father and brother were both football players in high school and college, Arty was never pressure to do so himself. Even though Arty is both a band and science nerd he was genetically gifted with the body of a football player and is often confused as one.

Andy grew up mostly by himself. His mother left or died when he was only 3 and his father hardly ever stays in the house. He's off doing something self destructive more likely than not. Andy basically lives by himself and supports himself by taking to the streets. He began turning tricks when he was fourteen. He's afraid it's getting harder to get customers because older men like their boys to be just that, boys, youthful, hardly legal. So he tries to dress to look younger, and attempts to look innocent when he works.

Generally he's a sincere person with a good sense of humor. He's capable of a deep, consuming love. He just wants to find someone whom he can take care of and be taken care of by.

Please Give some background info about your character: Tate is synonymous with success at GW - he's always been a star athlete for the school. Soccer, track, baseball; you name it, he's played it (and well). His specialties have always been football and wrestling, though, and for good reason - his dad coaches both of those teams. It came as a shock to everyone (especially Tate) that his father named Toby captain of the wrestling team in their senior year. His relationship with his dad has been terribly rocky since, and though Tate respects Toby, he is secretly very jealous. When Toby came out, Tate had mixed feelings. Something inside him couldn't accept that his superior was his gay best friend. The team practically disowned Toby, but Tate couldn't do that either. It has all been terribly confusing and painful, and recently all that Tate wants is for things to be the way they were junior year.

Please Give some background info about your character: Light is smart and quick and witty and everyone thinks he's wasting a big chunk of intelligence by going to art school for photography, but Light doesn't care. At all. Photography is his passion and he couldn't see himself doing anything else. Well, maybe he could see himself working at a tattoo parlor. But that's not nearly as awesomesauce as being a photographer would be. Sexually, Light is extremely open (pun?). He doesn't discriminate gender or prefer one over the other and has decided that he'll just fall in love with whoever the hell he wants. Light is extremely social but a lot of people are put off by his piercings, tattoos, and crazy fashion sense. And his tendency to cross dress. He cross dresses attractively, I swear!

Background:

Vicki grew up in an Irish Catholic household. She went to public school, but attended CCD and all that lovely jazz until 8th grade. She was always open to all sorts of lifestyles, perhaps in spite of her family's lack of acceptance. Her brother Henri, admitted he was gay to her parents, in his sophomore year at college, and they more or less excommunicated him. Through it all she was his pillar of strength.

When she went of to college a year later, she decided to become an English teacher. Sure she tried experimenting, but it really wasn't doing anything for her. She's still open to the possibility of dating either men or women, but suspects she might like men more. She was offered a teaching job in St. James when she was 26, and a year later became the adviser for a struggling club, the GSA.

Background:

Paul first moved to America two years ago after living in London for a year and living in Liverpool for his whole life before that. Before he moved to American he ad to take a few months to recover after his first brain surgery because of his epilepsy. He lived happily in America until he started to have complications again. He had to go back to England for more surgery. He had to stay for a few months, but now he's back with his family in America.

Aidan seems to fly on air. Things in life have always come to him rather easily. He's the lead in the school plays, he can sing like a crooner, and dance like swayze. He wants to get into theatre when he graduates, but for now is trying to get some extra spending money by working at the hell hole that is Walmart.

He's got a reputation at school as being somethign of a lady's man, and why shouldn't he? He's a regular heartthrob. However, he's starting to notice a few things about himself that aren't quite the same as last year. His new interest in the locker room for one. . . although he hides this new interest, he still hasn't lost interest in girls.

Cal used to be one of the popular, gay bashing asshole types up until last year. He befriended a piano prodigy: Casey. He could play Chopin and Beethoven like he'd composed the pieces. And when he had begun to question what happens after death and gone into a state of depression after the death of his dog, Casey offered him words of wisdom. He did this despite the fact that Cal used to bully him on a regular basis and once even got him sent to the hospital for a dislocated shoulder. . .and all because everyone thought he was gay.

Well it hadn't taken long for Cal to realize that he harbored feelings for Casey. . . it was somewhere between the first kiss in the band room during lunch and the night he took Casey's virginity after Rachel's party. His newfound love caused a riff between him and one of his best friends, who went after Casey. In an attempt to get Cal back he decided to beat his message into Casey. He broke his fingers unfixable. . .slamming the key cover onto Casey's fingers while he was playing.

It was shortly thereafter, two days, once he'd gotten back from the hospital and gotten the news that he'd never be able to play the piano again, that Cal came to see him. He wanted to care for him, apologize for his stupid friend, perhaps plot revenge. However he found Casey on the floor of his bedroom with a an empty pill bottle beside him.

He's never quite gotten over Casey's death. He was the first person to ever really understand him. .. they understood each other, in ways that no one else ever could. Cal had given it all up for him: his reputation, his friend's, his family (although his sister had gradually accepted him after the shock of his loss) and his heart. And he'd taken a coward's route out of all this.

Please Give some background info about your character: Being a total sexbomb, it's quite natural for Aleksy to be a model. With his piercings, dyed hair, and collection of tattoos, he is somewhat popular with alt. modeling jobs, especially those into the fetish scene. While Aleksy isn't hugely into the scenes, he likes some of the fashions, and loves the people that he meets there.

He is a quiet guy, and believes there is no such thing as an awkward silence. He is intense, expressive, and loves to laugh. He really enjoys a good cuddle; he wears his emotions on his sleeve, and loves very, very easily. He has trouble being monogamous sometimes, only because he is attracted heavily to personalities--leading him to have mostly harmless crushes on most of his friends.

Being from Philly, and subscribing to the punk lifestyle (complete with curbstomping boots, a horizontal anti-eyebrow piercing, a tongue ring, an industrial piercing, a sankofa tattoo low on his hip, and tearing stitches tattooed over his heart), Aleksy is very capable of kicking ass. Please Give some background info about your character:
Brody's mother is a certified disorganized, paranoid schizophrenic. The combination of the two types left her unfit to parent Brody when her daughter was at the tender age of twelve; Brody's mother was only twenty-seven at this point. Brody never knew her father, who abandoned her mother as a whore when she was still pregnant. Brody doesn't blame him, as she would have done the same thing. Since Brody's mother was institutionalized, she has bounced from foster parent to foster parent, never fitting in and going through a particularly violent rebellious phase since the first home beat her bloody on many, many occasions.

She is a chronic cutter, seen on the outsides of her thighs and calves. She isn't ashamed of her scars and cuts, and likes to wear shorts and skirts; because of this, she has been called an attention whore many times, and gotten into many fights over it. But, as if to back up her "cred," she had three harsh scars on both forearms from her date with a razor and the bathtub when she was sixteen. She was near-death when her foster father found her and saved her--barely. And that's just the physical Brody; the mental Brody is still lying in that bathtub, having weakened slowly with every harsh line sliced into her legs. She is an insomniac, and spends her time cruising the city for some ass to find some pretend form of love or affection that she never got from her parents.

She is polyamorous, cheating and sleeping with anyone who will have her. She covers up the dark circles under her eyes with dark eyeshadow and eyeliner, and wears arm warmers or gloves to hide the scars on her wrists. She just feels that it's rather off-putting to whomever she is with to see, and fears the loss of a quick lay more than she does the criticism that comes with attempted suicide. She combines goth and emo into a strange, somewhat unique style; she especially likes bondage pants and corsets, however, and pairs them either with knee-high Doc Martens, or a pair of Vans that have served her well. She's tall, 5'10 out of heels, and gangly. She doesn't look healthy, because she isn't.

When she isn't cutting or fucking, she takes out her misery, her emptiness painting. She has spiderbites, matching silver studs on the outsides and a black ring in the middle, hugging her full lips sexily. Her room is filled with canvases, books, and clothing, all in neat piles. Her bed is mostly unused except for sex; when she finally falls prey to her biological needs (usually once she's hallucinating already), she will literally collapse atop the covers. Sometimes she'll be lucky enough to change into pajamas, but that's a luxury that she has learned to live without. Her nights are occupied with painting macabre and abstract images of her frustrations with society, and her burning need to be normal.

Zach's brother had always been heavily into drugs. He however, lacked the kind of money needed to satisfy a drug addiction. When Zach was 15, his brother's dealer kidnapped him until his brother could come up with the money. Zach was having the time of his life while being held "hostage". He met one of his best friends among his captors: . His parents had always been a little suffocatingly over protective of him and for the first time in his life he was really living: hell he'd even lost his virginity.

The dealer wanted to have him killed: he figured Zach was a liability, but his friend convinced him that Zach could be trusted. Zach agreed to tell his parents that he had run away for the week and spent his time with a girlfriend. He'd come to his senses and returned home. Much to the anger of his older brother, he had now become "one of the boys". He hangs out wit the group of his captors now, drinking, smoking cigarettes and pot these days--all the normal sorts of things for a teenage boy.

Whenever Zach's with his friends, he has a tendency to pick up on their bad habits. He talks the way they do: as though he is confused about his ethnic origins.

Background info: Frankie got mixed up into a rather rough life early on in his teens. He started hanging with the wrong people, he tried a few things he probably shouldn't have, and one thing just seemed to lead into another. His parents didn't neglect him, he did rather well in school, and he had a nice home in a nice neighborhood. He just got mixed up in the wrong crowd was all.

Once he entered the lifestyle he found it difficult to turn back. Because his family had a decent amount of money he could always afford the best drugs, which he turned around and dealt to even richer kids. He drank, he smoked pot a ton, and soon his schoolwork went downhill. He spent all of his time in the slums, hanging out with his newfound 'gang' of friends, and soon dropped out of school.

He was ridiculously bright, however. Bright, but trusting. He liked to hold out hope that people would generally be honest and trustworthy. Chances are if he knew you, then he would take your word for things. If you promised to pay him back, he'd give you a shot. But just one. If you messed with Frankie once, you didn't do it again.

A while back he got mixed up with a kidnapping. One of his friend's clients wasn't paying him, so he stole his younger brother as a sort of ransom. That kid, 15 at the time, was Zach Holden. During his captivity, however, Frankie grew fond of the kid. Frankie had been 19 at the time, having just barely scraped through high school due to his poor attendance. Luckily, when things got a little crazy, Frankie was able to talk things through with his friend and get the kid back to his family, no harm no foul.

Since Zach had such a great time and was so cool about the whole thing (especially lying to his parents and the police about where he had been) he sort of became one of their gang. The two are now rather good friends...
