Viola entered the new and improved GW cafeteria. She was so glad that even though she'd transfered schools, they'd still allowed her to go to the Homecoming dance. She had already bought a ticket, after all.
She shifted the part of her dress under her armpits uncomfortably as she waited for Kyan to walk in with her. They'd come together like they'd promised and he had even been a good little date and bought a corsage for her. They were one of the foremost of couples to arrive, she noticed and luckily they had opted against getting their pictures professionally taken, so they could get a seat at a table right away.
She felt rather proud of herself as she looked at all the decorations. She felt like she really fit in nicely with her new black dress. It fit her in all the right places, and had a bit of lace that she was unaccustomed to. She had a pair of black heels that were open toed on even though it made her a bit taller than Kyan: which was saying something as he was 5'11". She had even curled her hair and put on some make up.
They found a little round table closer to the food than dance floor ad sat down. There was a white heavy-fabric table clothe on the table and the glasses were all crystal. There was a nicely folded napkin at each place setting and a flower arrangement center piece witha silver balloon attached.

Kyan sighed, but linked his arm with Viola as they entered into the cafeteria for their Homecoming dance. ((in retrospect do they give you food at Homecoming dances. . I've never been to one. . .they gave us food at the formal)) He smirked as he received a disapproving look from Viola. To recover, he slid the arm around her waist as they found a suitable table. He honestly didn't give a flying fuck about what the decorations looked like so much as what the decorators looked like.
He had gone out of his usual comfort zone clothing wise tonight. Although that had more to do with Viola complaining that she wanted to show up with a decent looking date than anything else. He would have been happy arriving in a three quarter sleeved shirt and jeans, but this worked to.
This being a grey suit jacket and black undershirt with black dress pants to match. He had on a pair of nice black shoes, but around his neck was his favourite ball chain necklace. His hair was still it's usual messy too.
He wondered when Toby would be arriving. .. and shook his head slightly. That wasn't his main focus right now. . or was it? He had left before Toby had, as the two now shared a house, to pick up Viola on time. She had better be damn thankful for it too.

Randy walked into the cafeteria not even bothering to notice any of the fucking decorations. He had one arm thrown around a senior girl who was a cheerleader for the basketball team. She had blond hair, big boobs and very little brains at all. . .just the way he liked his dates. He noticed a couple of other couples there though and decide he and his date would take a seat a few over form that queer Walker and his date. He had a score to settle with Kyan and some of his little queer friends. He didn't mind looking at the fag's date either. While his date huffily took a seat beside him, he pulled out a small silver flask and took a swig of the vodka inside it. He offered some to Cheryl or whatever the hell her name was and she immediately perked up.

Tobias hadn't been sure he wanted to go to the Homecoming Dance. He didn't have a date, and all of his suits were back in his room at home. He didn't have anything to wear, and he would have much rather sulked around at home. But he didn't live at home anymore... he lived with Kyan. So if he didn't go, then he'd have to spend the night at Kyan's house alone.
Kyan had left early to pick up Viola, but Toby had left shortly thereafter. He drove to his parent's house, killed the engine, and snuck into his room. He grabbed his best suit and snuck back out before his parents could come home. He wondered what they were doing, but didn't dwell on it too long. He had a dance to get to after all.
Toby arrived at his high school fully dressed and determined to enjoy himself. This was the first time he'd really be emersing himself among his peers since he had gone public with the fact that he was gay. He wondered how he'd go about this whole dance thing. Who was there to dance with? Who would want to be seen near him? All of his old straight friends had abandoned him... he was starting to regret his decision to show as he walked through the door and spotted Kyan.
Damn.

Kyan glanced around the room in a sort of bored fashion. . .determined not to talk about Viola's disturbing new habits. It was then he spotted Toby, coming in through the door. Fucking hell, didn't he look fantastic in that suit. He was glad he hadn't worn a tie because he might have had to loosen it.
He looked out of place standing there by himself and Kyan took this opportunity to disengage himself from Viola and head on over to Toby. He sauntered over and looked him up and down.
"Well, you clean up nicely," he commented, circling around him. "Are you going to come and sit with us or just stand here?"

Ravi hadn't planned to go to Home Coming. No, he was supposed to be baby sitting his younger sisters while his father had his younger brother at a Steelers game and his mothers were out to dinner. Desmond and his best friend, Audrey, whom Ravi had know since he was about six years old, came over to help him out and keep him company. His big mistake was letting it slip that his school's home coming dance was that night. Of course he hadn't planned to go, he didn't have a date and didn't have any friends to hang out with there. Desmond wasn't about to let that fly. He hooked up Ravi with a suit and Audrey ran home to get the dress she'd bought for her own school's home coming.
So there Ravi was at the entrance to the cafeteria wearing a suit and arm in arm with Miss Audrey who had thankfully dyed her hair back to blond a few days before instead of it's usual pink. A couple of the guys who were already there were eying up Audrey quite a bit. Then he saw Toby and Kyan and quickly hid behind his date.
"Those are the two I told you about!" he whispered frantically to Audrey.

Going to some Home Coming formal at a public school wasn't what Audrey had in mind for that evening, but she was trying to put other's needs before her own. Ravi was a complete social freak and needed all the help he could get when it came to social events such as a dance. She really didn't see why Desmond was making the poor kid go if he didn't want to, but what ever. She hadn't been so quick to argue with Desmond lately since that thing happened. So she went to the dance with Ravi. As annoying as the kid was Audrey loved him to death. It was like having her own little human puppy dog.
GW's cafeteria looked like it belonged in a prison except for the sorry ass excuse for decorations they had. Audrey just had this feeling like if she touched anything she might get this horrible disease. All was well until Ravi, in all his mousyness, hid behind her.
"Those are the two I told you about!"
"Oh really?" said Audrey, a grin spreading across her face. Audrey had heard all about these two boys named Toby and Kyan. She figured the bigger one was Toby so that meant the other one was Kyan. Leaving Ravi behind she shamelessly walked over to the two. "Hello boys." she said.

Zeke arrived at the Homecoming dance alone, but he wasn't going to stay that way for long. At least, hopefully. Zeke had asked Marcoh to the dance, and Marcoh had said yes. It had been an emotional process, starting with returning a book to Marcoh's house, developing into a full-fledged make-out session, followed up by Zeke's official breaking up with Christian, getting beat up by Christian's father, and telling Marcoh everything that Monday morning. Despite the drama and baggage that came along with him, Marcoh had agreed to go with him to the dance, and Zeke had been thrilled.
They saw each other before school, but that was it. He'd grown a little anxious that Marcoh might get nervous and back out of the dance. Not that he could blame the sophomore; nobody knew he was gay. At least, no one who mattered. They had decided to meet there, and so when Zeke arrived the first thing he did was look to see if Marcoh was there yet. Realizing that he wasn't, Zeke had to content himself with getting some punch before it could be spiked.

Marcoh entered the cafeteria timidly, peering around at the familiar - or, at least recognizable - faces of his peers. While he'd normally just hang out and watch the drama going on between his schoolmates like a wallflower, Marcoh had plans for himself tonight. However, he needed to find a certain someone before any of those plans could occur.
It wasn't long before he spotted Zeke waiting alone, and it only took a split second for his body to react to the sexy Asian in the dimmed cafeteria light. A smile found his lips before he could stop it and suddenly butterflies were no longer adequate to describe the sensations he felt as he approached his date.
"Hey." he said, attempting to be casual despite the mad flush in his cheeks and the anxious/nervous hint to his voice. It was a lame greeting, he decided, and he suddenly found himself wanting to do something bold. Well, at least, bold for him. So, with slightly shaky hands, he gripped each of Zeke's arms and used the leverage to stand on the balls of his toes and press a small kiss on the apple of Zeke's cheek.
Lowering himself embarrassedly after doing the deed, he blushed even more - if that was possible - and bit his lip shyly, trying to concentrate on Zeke's reaction rather than any from other kids around him.

Atticus wanted to go to the Homecoming Dance, but he couldn't think of anyone to bring. He didn't want to be the awkward kid who just sort of stood there, alone, watching everyone else dance and have fun. He had an idea then, and decided that he should ask Hayden. The two of them had been friends for, well, forever it seemed. She was nice, and smart, and good looking, which was always a plus. They'd just go as friends, obviously, but they were sure to have a good time together.
He had picked her up earlier that night, and now the two of them had arrived at the dance. Atticus was wearing his best suit, and was glad that he'd decided to show. And Hayden, as always, looked spectacular.

Zeke spotted Marcoh and was about to wave him over when he realized that the younger boy had spotted him already. He just watched as Marcoh made his way through the crowd to were Zeke was just finishing is cup of punch. It was quite delicious, actually.
"Hey."
"Hey there," he said. Zeke opened his mouth to say more when Marcoh touched him on either side, lifting himself up slightly to kiss Zeke on the cheek. Zeke knew enough about Marcoh's personaloty and how he felt about people knowing he was gay to realize how much that shaky kiss meant. It meant, for starters, that Marcoh was finally ready to come to terms with who he was, despite what some others may thing. And if anybody had a problem with it, Zeke would make them change their opinions. He was a blackbelt, after all.
As Marcoh pulled away and lowered himself down, Zeke couldn't help but smile. It wasn't a bad smile, but he though it was so adorable when Marcoh got all nervous and blushed like that. The way he bit his lip made Zeke just want to kiss him again, but he didn't want to make him any more nervous.
"Hey there yourself," he said, a his smiling growing even more. "You're looking particularly stunning tonight," he added, because it was completely true. Marcoh looked amazing.

"Well, you clean up nicely," he commented, circling around him. "Are you going to come and sit with us or just stand here?"
"I'm glad I passed your inspection," he commented. "And just standing here seemed to be a viable option." For some reason whenever he was around Kyan he always felt more... sarcastic, cynical even. It was like Kyan was rubbing off on him. He was about to follow and sit down at Kyan's table when a girl he didn't know came up to him.
"Hello boys."
"Um... hey," Toby said, quirking an eyebrow. Who was she? Then he spotted Ravi looking over at them, and put two and two together.

Kyan smirked in a satisfied way when Toby came back with a quip. He seemed to be having an impact on the guy, whether he knew it or not. He was about to grab his arm and pull him over to their table when suddenly a girl came over to them. She looked vaguely familiar to him. He had had a vision of her with pink hair and things clicked into place. He too noticed Ravi and felt himself tense up immediately. He didn't want anymore drama tonight: this was supposed to be a night to let loose and have a good time.
"Hello there yourself," he said, giving her a visual sweep to take in her ensemble. "Nice dress."

"Nice dress."
"Thanks, it's from Betsy Johnson, my father got if for me to wear to my Home Coming, but I was nice enough to wear it a week early to come to this Home Coming with my boyfriend, Ravi." Audrey smirked in a very sly and seductive way. She hadn't planned on saying Ravi was her boyfriend, but it just seemed like a cool thing to say at the time. No doubt Ravi was going to freak out, but maybe this situation could work out for him in the end.
"Oh, Kyan is it?" she pointed at the boy, "Oh, yes, I remember you. You were at the diner that night there was a fight." Audrey rolled her eyes at the very memory of the immature event. "But you," she turned to Toby and walked over to him, "I don't think I've met you before. . ." She gave Toby her sexy eyes, reached forward and fixed his tie even though she knew he was gay. She was just a whore like that and loved it.

Between the music and people talking Ravi had no idea what Audrey was saying to Toby and Kyan. He just hoped that it wasn't and thing defensive like 'if you make Ravi cry again I'll rip your balls off' which was something Audrey would do. That or she'd take the flirt route. . . and from seeing Audrey straighten Toby's tie she was taking the flirt route. Why bother with Toby, though? He was gay! But he was totally hot! And Kyan too, but Ravi was slowly starting to get fed up with Kyan's bull shit. Toby was slowly creeping up to number one. . . Like they cared though. Like who was number one in Ravi's mind matter at all to anyone ever. It was a very depressing thought, but it was completely true.

"Nice dress." Well, at least one of them seemed to know who she was. Tobias still had no idea who this girl was, but was reassured by the fact that Kyan knew her. At least it hadn't been completely random that she had come over here, even though he was still suspicious that Ravi had sent her.
"Thanks, it's from Betsy Johnson, my father got if for me to wear to my Home Coming, but I was nice enough to wear it a week early to come to this Home Coming with my boyfriend, Ravi."
Toby smirked a little, wondering if she was lying. She probably was... surely Ravi would've tried to rub it in their faces if he had a girlfriend. Plus, Toby was a little suspicious that he wasn't all that into girls, despite the fact that he was technically 'bisexual'.
"Really? That's nice of you. I hope you two enjoy yourselves," he said, just playing along. There was no use arguing.
"Oh, yes, I remember you. You were at the diner that night there was a fight. But you, I don't think I've met you before. . ."
That was when she approached him, and seductively straightened his tie, which had been on a little crooked from his hasty dressing.
"No, I don't think we have. Tobias Vaughn," he said, introducing himself. "Thanks," he added, since she had fixed his tie. He was completely unphased by the 'sexy eyes' and such... how could he be bothered with that when Kyan was right there? He was enough of a distraction.

"Thanks, it's from Betsy Johnson, my father got if for me to wear to my Home Coming, but I was nice enough to wear it a week early to come to this Home Coming with my boyfriend, Ravi."
"Boyfriend?" Kyan said, stifling a laugh.
He knew this was absolute bullshit. Ravi had just bitched out Toby the other day because the two of them had been making out. He doubted Ravi really liked girls anyway. He claimed to be bi, but most guys who were bisexual were like unto himself: they preferred boys. Although, he wouldn't say no to a hot girl looking for a good time. Even if he had the slightest inclination to believe the two were dating, which he didn't, when she flashed the "sexy eyes" he would have been convinced.
"Oh, Kyan is it? Oh, yes, I remember you. You were at the diner that night there was a fight."
"Yeah that was me," he commented in a would-be casual way.
He felt an unexpected pang of . .. jealousy?. . . when she fixed Toby's tie. Was he being possessive? This was so unlike him. He just. .. wanted top have Toby first. . .that must be it. It wasn't about any deep rooted feelings towards Toby. He was just being ridiculous, and yet he couldn't help but smile a little when Toby seemed unphased. He was, after all, completely gay and as such, Audrey was not his competition. He relaxed slightly.

Audrey knew she was having no affect of Toby, but she spotted Kyan out of the corner of her eye and he looked less than happy. This gave Audrey the smallest bit of satisfaction. Now only if Toby was bi, then Audrey could really piss of Kyan, but alas, Toby was gay. Another thing was that Audrey could tell that they didn't believe for a second that Ravi was her boyfriend. Oh, well, it was worth a shot. . or maybe she shouldn't give up so easily.
"Well, I shouldn't leave my date waiting. Perhaps we can share a table?" Audrey didn't wait fro a reply before making her way back over to Ravi who looked just as anxious as ever. "Oh, stop looking like you're about to wet your pants and come sit some where with me." She grabbed Ravi by the wrist and drug him past Kyan and Toby to an empty table and sat him down.

Before either of them could respond one way or another, she was off to go yank Ravi over to a table. A table which wasn't the on e he and Vi were situated at. . .so he assumed she'd decided against sitting with them.
"So. . . . . that was interesting,' he said to Toby. "I'm thinking we should go take a seat a while."

Brad arrived at the dance with a sweet, foxy piece of eye candy named, quite literally, Barbie. It didn't take him long to spot his little bra sitting with his arm candy. "Sup, bra?" said Brad taking a seat next to his brother. He gave Randy's date a good look down before snatching away the flask and taking a deep swig. Then he spotted the queer crowd from the other day. Brad nudged Randy and nodded toward Kyan and the others.

Ravi didn't like the situation that was brewing, he didn't like it one bit. Kyan clearly had a thing for Toby and it was more than obvious that the feeling was mutual. Not to mention Audrey was dragging him all over the place and was kind enough to pick a table where Kyan and Toby where right in the middle of his line of vision. It was bad enough Ravi hated dances, he'd mistakenly gone to one in seventh grade and ended up standing in the corner by himself the entire night, with out all this awkwardness going on. Audrey was clearly up to something; she had that look on her face and Ravi knew that look all the too. Then Brad Evans showed up and Ravi noticed that Randy was there as well. Both of them had to want to kill him after the other week when Ravi pounded Randy's face in. Ravi really did regret doing that because now he lived with the fear of knowing that the Evans brothers were going to get even with him eventually.
The whole situation was making Ravi really nervous, which in turn made him really anxious, which made him really have to pee. The bathroom also seemed like a good place to hide from the Evans brothers and a good excuse to get away from the sight of Kyan and Toby. "I have to go to the bath room!" he told Audrey suddenly before getting up and running to the bathroom. Once safely inside the boy's bathroom Ravi went into his stale. Even though there was no one else in the bathroom he still felt more comfortable peeing while being surrounded by four walls rather than out in the open at a urinal. Not wanting to go right back to the dance, after doing his business Ravi put the toilet seat down and sat for a while.

"Yeah, sure," he scoffed embarrassedly, running a hand through his hair without regard to the time he spent arranging it just so, "You look one hundred times better. I mean, wow."
Marcoh looked Zeke up and down once more before meeting his gaze. It seemed so surreal, to be at a dance, actually happy, and with another guy. Two weeks ago, he hadn't thought it possible for those things to happen at one time.
Perhaps his life was going to take a turn for the better.
"So..." he began, glancing around anxiously, "What next? I'm not really good at the whole dance thing."

Tobias listened to the entire thing go down with Audrey. It seemed like she was trying to help out Ravi, for which he couldn't blame her. The poor kid must've been really bothered by the fact that he hadn't gotten a date, and after everything that had gone on in the past week he couldn't blame him for wanting to make Kyan and himself jealous. Still... it wasn't working very well.
"So. . . . . that was interesting,' he said to Toby. "I'm thinking we should go take a seat a while."
When she left, Toby let out a sigh of relief. "Yes, that certainly was interesting," he said, glad that they wouldn't have to sit with her. That would've just ruined the night.

"Well come on, let's go take a seat elsewhere," Kyan said, taking Toby's wrist and leading him over to the table he and Viola were sitting at.
On some level he was aware that Randy and Brad were sitting at a table close enough to them that it should have made him nervous, but it didn't. He didn't take to bullies in that way, he'd fight them or he wouldn't no need to be afraid.
