"I'm sorry about Jude." said Jewls, "He's just a little paranoid, that's all. Oh, I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name. I'm Julia, but you can call me Jewls." She pointed to her name tag that read "Jewls" on it, it was right next to her "I'm Proud of my Gay Brother" button.

[Tadhg Kelly]

"It's fine," he said. "He seems like a bit of a heterophobe though. Oh I'm Tadhg. . . .yeah it's gaelic. . .don't ask. . .you cancall me Tad." (that's spelled Tad. . .but pronounced Todd.))

[jewls]

"Oh, he's only heterophobic when he's on Liberty Avenue; he's afraid some one from school is going to see him here and out him or something, but I've never seen any kids from school down here, well at least not any of the straight ones." She said, "It's very nice to meet you Tad."

[Tadhg Kelly]

"Oh so he's in the closet," Tadhg said understanding. "Well, I wouldn't out him anyway. It's none of my business. It's nice to meet you too."

[jewls]

Jewls smiled, "Well, I got to get back to work, just call me if you need anything!" She turned and continued to wait her other tables in the diner. Tad seemed like a very nice guy, she hoped he would come to the diner regularly. She also hoped Jude wouldn't be a complete ass if he did.

[Tadhg Kelly]

Tadhg nodded as Jewls walked away. He glanced over at her brother, wondering if her eally thought he'd snitch on him.

Deciding it would be better just to eat, he took a bite out of his sandwich: it wasn't half bad.

[jude]

Jude went over to the new guy when he looked like he was done eating. "Are you finished with that?" he said dully, pointing at th kid's plate.

[Tadhg Kelly]

"What?" he said, havign zoned out. "Oh yeah, yeah I'm finished."

[jude]

"Good." said Jude snatching up the plate. "Jewls will be around in a bit with your check. Don't go anywhere, I know what you look like." He left to take the plate to the washing machine.

[Tadhg Kelly]

"What?" Tadhg said indignantly. What was up with that kid? He was deffinitely weird.

[jewls]

Jewls went back over to Tadhg's table to get his plate only to discover it was already gone. "Oh, Jude must have taken it" she said, "That's weird; he's usually not this on top of things. Well, I'll be right back with your check then." Jewls went behind the counter to ring up his check then can back. "Here you go." she said handing it to him. "You pay up at the counter. So, was every thing good?"

[Tadhg Kelly]

"Yeah it was all good, thanks," he said rooting through his pocket for some cash.

His check was for 7.50, so he left four dollars as a tip, and then took his check up to the front. He payed and then looked around for Jewls again.

"So I'm just going to leave now. Your brother told me to stay. . .but I think I'm just going to head out."

[jewls]

"Huh? Oh, he probably meant to stay until I brought your check, that's all." said Jewls, "Well, it was nice meeting you Tad, I hope you come back!"

[Tadhg Kelly]

"Oh right," he said feeling dumb. "Yeah, I'll probably be back. I'll have to show my dad and Brandon here, they'll like it."

[jewls]

"Ok!" said Jewls, "Um, I hope you don't mind me asking, but who's Brandon?" She couldn't help but be a nosy Jewish girl some times.

[Tadhg Kelly]

"NO, it's fine. Brandon is my dad's boyfriend," Tadhg said.

[jewls]

"Oh!" said Jewls with a smile; so that's why Tad was so comfortable on Liberty Avenue! "That's cool! It's nice that you were thinking about them! Well, have a nice day!" she couldn't wait to tell Jude about Tad's Dad so that the next time he came in Jude would be nice.

[Tadhg Kelly]

"Yeah you too," he said, walking towards the door. "See you around."

He exited through the doors and decide to walk around liberty avenue a bit. He didn't care if their were fags and lesbians everywhere he went. He had always done whatever he wanted, regardless of what other people thought he should do.
