Jude went from table to table picking up empty plates and glasses, used silver wear, trash, and the occasional empty condom wrapper which he was always disappointed to find empty. He took ever thing to the back and started over again! Yay! Truth was, Jude hated his job, well, he hated working period, especially since he had to lie about where he worked; no one out side Liberty Avenue knew he was gay except for his twin sister, Jewls, and is best friend, Riff. Him and Jewls had told their mother they work at a diner in the city, they never said was diner, but if she found out that it was one on Liberty Avenue there was no doubt in Jude's mind that she'd completely flip shit. Jude knew his mother would be less than understanding about him being gay so he intended to keep it a secret as long as he possibly could. He'd probably get his ass kicked at school worse than he normally does too.
So Jude continued picked up after every fag that come though the diner, picking pathetic tips, and scowling all the while.

Tadhg walked into the Liberty Diner, looking around the place curiously. He, his dad, and his dad's new. . . boyfriend had just move into the area, and he had decided to find out some good places to eat.
His dad's new found. . .gayity was still a bit of a shock for him, but he was trying his best to adjust. Looking around, he realized he'd probably just walked into a gay haven. He smiled awkwardly and waited around, unsure if he was supposed to seat himself or not.

"Stop looking so miserable!" Jewls said to her twin brother, Jude on her way to one of her tables. She loved working at the diner; in her opinion it had to be the best job in the world! She got to meet tons of interesting people and she loved working with one of the other waitresses, Debbie. Debbie loved to brag about her gay son, Michael. Jewls wished she could picture her mom being like that with Jude, but she was sure it would never happen. She was perfectly fine with her brother being gay, in fact, once she tried to wear a shirt to work that said "I'm proud of my Gay brother!" but Jude threw a fit and made her take it off. Now she just wears a small button that says it; Jude's eye site is so bad, even when he's wearing contacts he had yet to notice the small button.
Jewls had just dropped off some food at one of her tables when she noticed a confused looking boy walk in.
"You can just sit down were ever you like, hunny." she said sweetly to the boy with a smile, "I'll be with you in a minuet."

Tadhg smiled at the girl, she was kind of pretty. Oh, but if she worked in this diner, did that mean that she was. . .? He was confused as to what the rules were.
"Oh, thanks," he said with a grin. He found one of those table for two spots and sat by himself.

Jewls served another table their food, grabbed a menu, then walked over to the new boy.
"Here you go." she kindly, handing the boy a menu. "Just call me over when you're ready to order." She them notice that the table was missing napkins a silver wear. "Jude!" she called with annoyance. "Get this table some napkins and stuff!" she said while she walked away.

Jude groaned. "I'm getting there, christ!" he said returning his sisters aggravated tone. Jude walked over to the table where a pretty cute looking boy was sitting and gave him napkins and silver wear. "If you want water tell me now because I'm not coming back." he said dryly.

"Umm do you guys have any specials, or anything like that?" he asked.
He had propped his feet up on the seat opposite him, and reclined a bit in his chair while looking up at her.

"Um, well, every Monday is the Turkey Meatloaf Sandwich special. All the daily specials are on the second page of the menu," said said patiently with a smile. "So. . . um, I have to ask you; are you new around here? I've never seen you in the diner before."

"I guess I'll have that," Tadhg said. "And a coke. .. or Pepsi. . .whichever you've got."
"So. . . um, I have to ask you; are you new around here? I've never seen you in the diner before."
"Oh, yeah we just moved into an apartment nearby here yesterday," he explained. "I thought I'd scope out some of the places around here."

"Oh, I see." said Jewls. She wanted desperatly to ask the boy if he was gay, he was pretty cute, but thought that might be a little rude. "Well if you need help finding anything don't heistate to ask. Um, I'll be right back with your drink." She quickly went behind desk and dropped off the boys order at the kitchens before getting him his Pepsi and bring it over to him. "Um so do you know what school you're going to?" The diner wasn't that busy so she had some time to talk to the boy.

"Oh," said Jewls slightly disappointed. St. James was for rich kids, not to mention it was pretty much a catholic school as well. Jewls and Jude, being Jewish, really didn't think they'd fit in there, plus Jude openly refused to wear a uniform to school. It wasn't as if they couldn't afford St. James; if they needed the money all they had to do was call their rich father in France, but they were content with public school.
"My brother and I go to George Washington High. . ." she said, "It's the local public high school."

With Jewls off doing her job Jude had the opportunity to examine the boy closely; he certainly wasn't gay, but then why was he here? He went over to the boys table. "Can I sit here?" he asked and didn't even wait for a response to sit across from the boy. "I feel compelled to ask you; if you're not gay then why the fuck are you here?"

Tadhg was thrown off slightly byt the boy's sudden appearance and abrupt question.
"Do I have to be gay to be here?" he asked. "I just moved here and I was hungry so I thought I'd check out the town."

Jude's eyes narrowed. "So as a straight guy, you just happened to end up on Liberty Avenue and didn't notice the very large gay pride rainbow flags every few feet?" he asked suspiciously, "No you don't have to be gay to be here, but straight guys normally don't just come on in off the street."

Jewls returned to the boys table with his order and saw that Jude was there pestering the boy kid.
"Jude!" she said with annoyance, "Will you leave him alone and get back to work!" She put the boy's meal in front of him and waited for her brother to leave.
