[Randy Evans]

Randy waited outside on the steps, watching the kids that walked by. He knew Jude would have to leave and when he did, Randy would be right here waiting for him.

Lilbby noticed the dim witted jock a year below her, Randy, waiting for someone outside the school. She didn't like the look he had on his face. He was something of a school bully, and when he waited outside for someone like that it was never a good sign. She should have been getting to practiice, but she decided to stick around for a while.

Jude left his locker and quickly got lost in the crowd so Jewls wouldn't follow him; he knew Randy would be waiting for him out side and he didn't want her to get involved. His head was still pounding with pain from Randy pushing him into the locker earlier in the day, but he had managed to stop the bleed himself without going to the nurse. There was a black and blue mark forming on his fore head which he covered up with his bangs as best he could.

Once he got to the front steps he saw Randy there, but pretended not to notice him, he hoped he could just sneak past in the crowd leaving school. He wasn't a coward he just didn't feel like getting his ass kicked twice in one day. He was on his way past Randy and prayed he wouldn't be noticed.

Randy grabbed Jude by the bacl of his shirt and whipped him around to face him.

"Now here did you think you were going?" he asked.

He drug him around back of the school and once satisfied that no one was around save one of his friends from the basketball team. He slammed him up against the concrete wall, holding onto him by the collar of his shirt, and shook his head sadly at him.

"You know I'm really getting tired of this attitude problem of yours," he said, landing a punch in his gut. "Do you like getting the shit knocked out of you every day?"

Jude tried to struggle against Randy, but he was too strong and was forced to the back of the school. He refused to call out for help because A) there was hardly anybody with the balls to stand up to Randy and B) if anyone did they would just get their ass kicked too.

Jude's head pounded even more with pain as Randy slammed he against the wall. Little specks of light began to cloud his vision from the blow and he began to get dizzy. He fell to his knees clutched his stomach after Randy delivered the first blow. The wind was knocked out of him and he started to feel and asthma attack coming on but didn't dare reach for his inhaler in his back pocket.

"No." gasped Jude, "but I love that stupid look you have on your face when you get mad."

"Wrong answer," Randy said kneeing him in the chest. He pulled his head up by his hair and slapped him hard across the face.

Jude fell hard to the ground, the wind knocked out of him again, only this time he couldn't control his breathing. He began to breath so heavy that it hurt, but he couldn't stop. He wanted to scream a stream of obscenities at Randy but couldn't get a word out. His lungs felt like they were on fire and he had completely forget that his inhaler was close at hand.

Libby had followed them around to the back of the school slowly so they wouldn't notice. When she could see them again properly, she saw the kid on the ground and Randy kicking him. She caught the end of their conversation. The kid was breathing heavily, almost too rapidly. She was worried and did some fast thinking.

"Hey!" she shouted, running around the corner and shoving Randy away from the boy. "What are you doing? You were supposed to help me carry my stuff down to the feild! Jesus I was looking all over for you, now we have to go back to the locker room and get my bag. Was he what was holding you up?"

She helped him to his feet in what she hoped was an agitated way, and shot an exasperated look at Randy.

"You can't do these things to me. If you want to talk to him do it during school."

She quickly lead the boy around the side of the school and stared at him as though he was insane.

"Do you have an inhaler you can take or something?"

Randy gave a frightened jump when he heard someone shouting at him. It was a girl, a senior girl, and a hot one at that. She claimed that Jude carried her bags down to the field for her, which wouldn't surprise Randy: Jude as a bag boy. She spoke so fast and sounded so rushed and looked so good in those soccer shorts, that Randy didn't even stop her as she ushered Jude away. After all, there was always tomorrow.

"Sorry," he said when she accused himof holding Jude up. "We'll chat some other time."

Jude could barely walk even with the girl helping him. He was unable to speak so he simply waved his hand toward his back pocket and nodded his head.

Libby quick grabbed his inhaler out of his pocket and handed it to him. After a moment or two she felt compelled to ask him something.

"What were you thinking?" she asked. "He could have killed you! Or at least maimed you."

Jude took a deep breath through his inhaler and breathed in sweet relief. He closed his eyes, leaned against the school and took a few deep breaths trying his best to ignore the pains in his, head, chest and stomach. He took another deep breath though his inhaler before speaking.

"That guy is an asshole." he said breathlessly, "I'm not about-" :breath: "to let him-" breath "push me around." He took a moment to get a few more breaths in. "What's it to you anyway?" he said with annoyance.

Libby huffed and crossed her arms, what's it to her? She just saved his neck, ungrateful little-

"It's like you said, Randy's an asshole," she said. "I just don't like to see people like him pick on other kids."

[jude]

"Well, thanks for your help, but my sister is probably looking for me and I have to get to work." said Jude quickly, just trying to brush the girl off quickly. Jude began to slowly walk away, his head pounding, chest aching and stomach hurting like hell. He pretty much felt like he was going to throw up, but he clutched his stomach and walked away trying to keep his face calm and not showing how he was feeling.

Libby wasn't used to be brushed off after helping someone, but she was determined to keep her discomfort under control. PLus this kid was kind of cute when he wasn't beingf an asshole.

"I can help you find your sister if you want," she offered against her better judgement. "Just in case Randy comes back."

Jude groaned. "Fine!" he exclaimed with annoyance. "She'll be the Jewy looking girl who looks like she's ready to wet her pants because she thinks Randy probably killed me."

"Fine," she said loudly. Little ungrateful. .

She wakled around to the front of the building and noticed that most of the students had cleared off for the day. There were a few of those kdis who just hung out after school standing around, palying hackey sack or just talking. She spotted a girl who sure enough looked decidely jewish. . .and frantic. She waved the girl over to them.

"There she is," she said pointing.

Jewls had been frantically looking around for her brother, feeling like she was go to piss her pant from fear that Randy may have finally killed him. She was just about to give up hope and just curl up on a ball on the ground and cry when an older girl called over to her. When she turned to look she immediately spotted Jude who was, to say the least, not looking like he was in the best shape. She quickly ran over to her brother and hugged him.

"I was so worried!" she exclaimed letting go of him a taking a step back to get a good look at him. He face was bruised on both the forehead and the cheek, he was clutching his stomach and was breathing slightly heavily. "Did Randy do this to you?" She asked tearfully.

"Yeah, that asswipe was at it again," Libby said. "Your brother had an asthma attack, so I had to step in."

[jewls]

Jewls gasped the biggest gasp she had ever gasped. "Y-you had an asthma attack!" she cried. She lunged forward and gave her brother another hug, this time not letting go.

"You have to stop picking fights with him!" she pleaded, "You're going to get yourself killed!"

Before Jude could do anything Jewls had lunged forward and put him in a painful hug that didn't help how his chest and stomach was feeling at all. When she finally let go he barely had time to breath before he was put into another bear like hug.

"Christ Jewls!" he exclaimed breathless, just having the wind knocked out of him for the third time that day, "If you don't relax you're going to be the one who kills me."

"Well, I guess I'll just leave you two crazy kids," Viola said with a quick wave. "Have fun at work."

[jewls]

"Wait." said Jewls letting go of Jude, completely ignoring his previous comments. "Where id Randy?" her voice was deadly calm; she was tired of Randy beating on Jude and if he had done this because of the tennis ball incident, well, that just wasn't right! Jewls wanted nothing more that to smack Randy across the face, but she knew that would do no good, when she spoke to him she had to be sure not to do anything to provoke him.

"He was at the back entrance," Vi said pointing uncertainly in the direction they had come from. "Why?"

Jewls didn't answer the girl, she simply walked between her and Jude and headed to the back of the school where Randy was said to be. When she got back there Randy was still there, he looked as if he had been gloating about what he had done to Jude. Jewls felt a hot rush of anger and wanted nothing than to bitch slap Randy across the face. It took ever ounce of her self control not to do so. She walked right up to him.

"What is your problem?" she asked him with her voice deadly calm and quiet.
