Regina wondered if this was his way or asking her out on a date, or if he just wanted to get a drink or something to eat as friends. The line between the two had grown so fuzzy recently.
"Sure, I'd love to. I get off work at 7 tomorrow," she added, smiling.

"Great," he said, then grinned embarrasedly. "So umm would you like to meet somewhere? OR do you want me to pick you up? I don't know where you live or if you want to give your address to almost a total stranger."

Regina liked this guy. He pretty much said whatever was on his mind... that was probably the journalist in him talking, though.
"Well, not that I mind giving you my address, but you could always just meet me at the police station. I always have a change of clothes with me at work, so I can change before you come. No need to stop home at all." Regina figured that everybody knew where the police station was, so it was a safe place to meet.

"That works too," Calrk said with a grin and a slight shake of his head. "Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then?"
He grinne and hesitated for a moment. He then awkwardly held out his hand so he could shake it good bye. He'd just met her, but a hand shake seemed so formal.

Regina was a very friendly person, and the handshake was odd for her. It even seemed a little awkward for Clark, and he was the one who had initiated it! Fighting her instinct to pull him in for a friendly hug or something (which, because they just met, seemed like it would only be more awkward), she shook his hand and smiled. "Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow!"
As she walked away, she hoped that no one had vandalized anything while she'd been distracted. That would put a damper on her night.
