A little Help?

Tobias allowed Ravi and Viola to go into the room first, trailing behind. Even though he was currently living with Kyan he was probably the person who knew him the least. He was certainly the person who had known him for the shortest amount of time, so he figured that it was only right that they went in first.

Seeing Kyan lying there, IV in his arm, made Toby come to an abrupt halt. Shit... somehow, in the rush of things, everything had been so busy that he hadn't really had enough time for the severity of the situation to sink in. Now that everything was okay, sort of, and things were calmed down, everything really hit him.

Kyan had been drifting in and out of sleep now that he had been considered in stable enough condition to be moved to a room. He was a little bored left by himself and was a little relieved when he opened his eyes to find his friends in the room.

"Hey. . .guys. . ." he said a little slower than usual. he had been given a slight pain medication, but nothing drastic.

Ravi couldn't help it; he lunged forward and gave Kyan a tight hug! "I'm s-s-s-so glad y-y-you're ok!" he sobbed into Kyan's shoulder, "I th-th-th-thought you were going to die!" He still hadn't let go of Kyan and didn't plan of letting go anytime soon.

Ravi lunged forward and hugged him, and while he was relieved to be all right and out of the OR, he had just been stiched up and was still tender.

"I'm still here," he said, covering a wince. He hated looking weak in front of others.

"Hey umm. . .stitches. . ." he grunted. "Sorry."

"Hey. . .guys. . ."

Tobias was relieved to hear Kyan’s voice, even though it lacked the life and energy that it usually held. Just to see him awake, hell, just to see him alive after everything that he had been through, it was comforting.

"I'm s-s-s-so glad y-y-you're ok! I th-th-th-thought you were going to die!"

Though Kyan was clearly on medication, Tobias was sure that such a tight hug wasn’t so good for the gaping knife wound that had just recently been sewn shut by the doctors.

“Ravi… hey, come on now. You don’t want to open the stitches, do you?” he said in a half-joking, half-cautious tone. He knew that Ravi had been upset, but he also knew that Kyan wasn’t in the best of shape. Not to mention the fact that Kyan didn’t really like hugs on a good day, let alone such a bad one.

Turning to Kyan he smiled. “You got my back seat blood stained,” he pointed out, as though that had been Kyan’s intention. “I’m glad you’re alright,” he added sincerely.

Ravi hadn't realized he was hurting Kyan until Toby said something. Kyan's stitches just weren't on Ravi's mind when he had went in for the hug. "I'm sorry!" he exclaimed tearfully as he quickly pulled away from Kyan. "I'm just so glad you're ok!" He got off Kyan's bed and stood in the corner looking embarrassed. He couldn't help it that he was glad Kyan was still alive!

"I'm just so glad you're ok!"

"It's okay," Kyan said, rubbing at his waiste subconsciously. . .wheer there was probably going to be a scar. Brad was lucky that this would at least make a decent story . . . or else he would have been even more pissed off.

“You got my back seat blood stained,”

"Good," Kyan said with a small grin. "That's what. . .I was going. . .for."

He was disappointed at how far off track the night had gone. It was little more than an hour ago thathe had been dancing with Viola and trying to entice Toby to join them. . .with anticipations about what that might lead to. Now here he was lying on the stupid hospital bed with an iv hooked up to im and everyone staring at him like he was going to explode.

“I’m glad you’re alright,”

"Yeah. . .it'll take more. . .than that to . . stop me," he said.

Tobias knew that Ravi was upset, but he wasn't thinking before he acted. He just shook his head a little. Kyan was alright, and that was all that mattered now. He had been worried before, but now he was just relieved.

"Good. That's what. . .I was going. . .for."

Tobias couldn't help but laugh a little. Even after everything that had just happened, he was still joking around. That was when Toby knew that everything was going to be okay in the end.

"Yeah. . .it'll take more. . .than that to . . stop me,"

"Don't I know it," he commented under his breath, with a small wink to his current roommate.

Kyan smiled up at Toby in a sort of dreamy state. He wished he could be more coherent right now. He reached out his hand to Toby, hoping he'd take it so he could hold onto it.

"Did someone tell my parents?" he asked.

Tobias caught the look in Kyan's eyes, and wondered if it was a regular dreamy or the drug-induced kind. Regardless, when Kyan reached out his hand Toby couldn't think of anything else to do but to take it in his own hands, squeezing it in a comforting manner. Sometimes it was nice to just touch someone.

"Yeah, they'll be here soon," Toby said, nodding slowly.

Kyan nodded his head, trying to clear his thoughts. There was something he wanted to say, but what? He looked around the room and motioned at Viola and Ravi.

"Could you. . .give us a minute. . .I need to say something to Toby," he asked them. He noticed the intern at the door and made an upward nod at him with a small smile.

Ravi was standing in the corner, looking at the floor and biting his nails when he saw Kyan motion to him out of the corner of his eye.

"Could you. . .give us a minute. . .I need to say something to Toby,"

"Huh?" said Ravi looking up with a dazed look on his face, "Oh yeah. . . sure." He really didn't want to think about what that 'something' he was going to say to Toby was. What ever it was is probably was only going to make Ravi feel like shit so he hustled out of the room as quickly as he could without saying goodbye to anyone.

Viola looked from Kyan to Tobty and back again. Something clicked inhe head and she didn't even protest as she smiled and left. It was astrange turn of emotions after all the drama. She nodded quickly and murmured. "Oh yeah, of course," before leaving.

Tobias tried to give Ravi a comforting look, but the younger boy wouldn't raise his head to look at him as he hurried out of the room. He knew that Ravi's crush on Kyan hadn't gone, despite the fact that Kyan had made himself perfectly clear that he didn't like Ravi that way. It was unfortunate, because it made everything so much more complicated.

Viola, on the other hand, seemed to get what was going on and left just as quickly, but with an unmistakable smile on her face.

"What is it?" Toby asked, once the door was shut and they were alone. He really didn't know what to expect. Kyan wasn't exactly the sentimental type, but he had seemed to want privacy, so...

Kyan didn't know how to go about saying what he wanted to say. Everything about this moment was unusual and awkward for him.

"Hey. . . thanks for . . .having my back. . .back there," he said. "I. . .it's means . . .a lot."

Tobias knew that it probably took a lot for Kyan to say what he did. He was a very proud person, and struck Toby has the sort of guy who would never admit if they needed help, or things like that. So for him to say how much his being there had meant, well, that meant a lot to Toby.

"No problem," he said, smiling. "I mean... it was the least I could do. It obviously didn't help much, but..." he added, chancing a glance down at Toby's injury. "I was glad to be there," he added sincerely.

Of course Ravi's curiosity was going to get the best of him; after walking away for a bit he quickly ran back to the door and pressed his ear against it, trying to hear as much as he could of Kyan and Toby's conversation. So far it wasn't that bad, but why would Kyan need all the privacy just to thank Toby for having his back? Unless Kyan was extremely shy about thanking people, and Ravi wouldn't doubt that, there had to be more to this than that. Ravi stayed with his ear presses against the door waiting for more.

Kyan smiled, glad that it had been easier than he thought it would be to admit that he had needed someone else's help. There were other things he needed to say as well, things not nearly as easy for him to admit as that. things he had talked about with a relative stranger while having sex in the backroom at Babylon: sometimes even he thought his life was fucked up.

He pushed himself up slowly so that he could be a little higher up on his bed. He didn't like this weak position he found himself in, but made the best of it.

"There's something else," he said at length. He could scarcely believe his mind was still functioning coherently enough to remember the discussion in Babylon. "Something I've. . . been meaning to say."

He still attempted to keep a sort of distant quality to his voice, though that was hard as it had a dreamy nature to it.

Tobias didn't know what else to say, so he simply nodded. His attention had been peaked at this point and he was standing up very straight, not sure what to do with himself at this point. He didn't want to sit, but felt awkward standing next to Kyan's bed like this. Propped up now, however, he was eye-level with his injured friend and thought that this was working for now.

Standing there, Toby waited for Kyan to say what he had apparently been meaning to say for a while now.

He could tell Toby was interested, and even in his current state he like the feeling of power he seemed to have regained. He coudln't begin to imagine what to say though. This had all seemed so much clearer presed up against Gabe.

". . .I. . .don't. . ." he sighed and closed his eyes a moment. "This isn't . . . exactly my strong point, but I. . .have. . .you know . . .feelings for you."

He took a deep breath and shook his head slightly, but decided he might as well continue on.

"Not just. . .the sex kind. . .I mean those were pretty obvious," he chuckled slightly. "The other kind. . .the deep, girly kind."

"This isn't . . . exactly my strong point, but I. . .have. . .you know . . .feelings for you."

Tobias nodded slowly, but wasn't positive that he understood completely. After all, it had been obvious to everyone that Kyan had been trying to get into Toby's pants ever since they had first met up in the bathroom of that party. Granted, both of them had been very drunk then, but the hunt had continued long after the effects of the alcohol had worn off. Like at the pool. Still, though they've only lived under the same roof for a day or two (?) now, nothing had happened... yet.

"Not just. . .the sex kind. . .I mean those were pretty obvious," he chuckled slightly. "The other kind. . .the deep, girly kind."

"Well, I... wait, what?" Tobias knew that it wasn't the most graceful of things to say, but he had truly been caught off guard. He knew that Kyan pretty much lived at Babylon and had a history of having sex with, well, everyone. He didn't have real feelings about anyone, he just liked to have sex. A lot. And so it was quite the shock when those words met Toby's ears.

"I mean... really?" Smooth. He could feel his heartbeat getting faster than normal, racing at the turn of events. Kyan liked him? Like, in a mutual relationship kind of way, and not just a raging hormones sort of way? It was hard to believe, and he wanted to make sure he understood exactly what Kyan meant.

Kyan grimaced slightly at Toby's reply. Not quite the response he'd been expecting, and yet not entirely unexpected. ((shuddup it makes sense in my head))

"You're really going to make me say it again?" he said with a falsely exasperated sigh.

"I mean... really?"

"Yes, really," he said. ". . .I wouldn't . . .joke about this shit."

He shifted to get more comfortable on his hospital bed, but winced slightly at moving his side and gave up the effort. He glanced over at his Homecoming suit and closed his eyes. They had a fair amoun tofblood on them and he already knew that his mother would take one look at them and break into hysterics. He needed to push those thoughts aside for now though.

"Look. . .I'm just as. . .surprised as you are. . .but it's the truth," he siad furrowing his brow in concentration.

K-Kyan what? He had feelings for what? Surely Ravi had misheard him through the door. Kyan didn't have feelings! Kyan just fucked! Ravi was sure he was mistaken, but then Kyan said it again! This was so unfair! Ravi had been doing everything he could, despite a few extreme fuck ups, to get Kyan to like him and all Toby did was sort of stand there and now Kyan was in love with him?? With Toby!? Toby hadn't even been out for a month! Ravi was regretting the day Toby had found him crying in the bathroom more and more. If someone else would have entered that bathroom that day would things be different? Ravi was sure he wouldn't have Kyan, but then again would anyone? At least he could have been content with the fact that Kyan didn't have feelings for anyone, but this, this just SUCKED.

Ravi felt the tears coming again, but he didn't want to let out a sob for fear of being heard. As much as he hated what was going on he just had to hear more. He still hadn't heard what Toby felt, but he was sure he wasn't going to like it very much.
