"And this years Homecoming King is. . .Blane Robinson,"
Shit. Brooke wasn't one to swear often, but when she did it was in very severe situations like this one. Blane was homecoming king? Of course she had expected for him to get tons of votes, but hadn't there been anybody else for people to vote for? She hated this. This was ruining her night! She spent all of her time planning this, and now she had to dance with Blane? She wondered if he'd try anything... she wouldn't put it past him.
As he came up and got his crown, Brooke gave him sarcastic smile, putting on the facade of a good sport. After all, she needed this whole thing to go smoothly, and that would mean suffering through this dance. As the song began to play Brooke reluctantly stepped onto the dance floor again as a space was made for the King and Queen to dance. She chanced a glance over at Tadhg, not bothering to hide her displeasure at having to dance with Blane, when she would have much rather been dancing with him.
As the music started she placed her arms over Blane's shoulders, around his head in the usual dancing fashion. She had a flashback to the year before, when they had been here together. But she didn't want to think about that. In this position, she was forced to look into Blane's eyes, and knew he was enjoying this. Again, she put on a happy face, trying not to let this whole thing get to her. After all, she was the Homecoming Queen!

"And this years Homecoming King is. . .Blane Robinson,"
"AH BALLS!" exclaimed Desmond. Stupid fucking Blane? You had to be kidding? Who the fuck would vote for the biggest asshole in the school? Desmond just couldn't believe it! He was also slightly disappointed that he hadn't won since he too was nominated, but who would vote for the fag that just tried to kill himself? Blane did seem much more likely to win over him. He especially felt bad for Brooke though; she just broke up with Blane and now she had to dance with him! Well, Desmond would be ready if Blane tried anything. He always kept his Lacrosse stick in the back of his car. . .

Blane grinned as he took the dance floor with Brooke who whole kept a sweet smile on her face until she thought he wasn't looking, then she looked positively disgusted. "Ah, come on baby." he said as he put his hands on her waste. "Don't act like you hate it, you know you love it. Finally you get to dance with a real man tonight." Blane looked over at Tad and made an ass smacking movement behind Brooke's back.

Tad felt himself tense up as Blane's name was called. This probably wasn't good. . . couldn't anyone else have won. . ? As he looked up to see the dance, Blane made some uncalled for gestures involving Brooke's ass. He clenched his teeth and fists and seethed. He'd like to punch his stupid face in, but a fat lot of good that would do him. But he was just being disrespectful now. Stupid bastard. . .if he tried anything funny. . . he'd rip him a new facehole. . .somehow.

"Ah, come on baby. Don't act like you hate it, you know you love it. Finally you get to dance with a real man tonight."
Brooke kept the forced smile pasted on her face as Blane placed his hands around her waist. She saw the slapping gesture, well, she saw him move to make the gesture, and assumed she kenw what he was doing. It was rude, yes, but she shot Tadhg a warning glance, letting him know that she could handle the situation. She didn't want him to do anything rash and end up getting in trouble. She also didn't want any fights to break out. Blane was not going to ruin her night.
"Of, of course. How could I be so silly as to think I could fool you," she said quietly, so that only Blane could hear, her words positively dripping with sarcasm. "Let's just get through this dance so I can go on enjoying the rest of my night," she said, hoping to acquire a truce.

Garrett felt his heart sink in the next few moments. Damn it all to hell, Blane had won Homecoming King. Great, no one would hear the end of this. . .ever. And on top of that he was being a dick about the whole Brooke being his ex thing. He, being observant, caught the look he shot Tadhg and the gesture he made. Wow, way to be mature, he thought. Poor kid.
He couldn't wait until next year when he'd be away from all this. Away from Blane and the annoying detail of being related to him. He rolled his eyes and turned back to look at Faye, having not applauded for the second name announced.

Viola new Tad only too well, and placed a restraining and at the same time, comforting hand on his shoulder. She turned to Vinnie and pointed a finger at the guy dancing with her cousin's girlfriend. The one from the diner the other night.
"I don't like him," she said simply.

"Neither do I." said Vinnie, eying up Blane dangerously. He hadn't forgotten the little scene in the dinner a few weeks ago. As Blane did a particularly rude gesture behind Brooke's back it took all of Vinnie's self control not to get up and pound in Blane's face. He hated when man were disrespectful to women, nothing pissed him off more. If Blane tried anything else Vinnie made a mental note to meet Blane at his car after the dance.

Andy had fallen asleep that night and woke up about forty five minutes late to pick up Atticus for the dance. He had to just quickly throw on his suit and get over to Atticus house as soon as he could. After apologizing repeatedly he drove Atticus and himself to his school. They were over an hour late for the dance and they'd miss the crowning of the King and Queen. Andy remembered Blane and Brooke being a couple last year before he moved to Philadelphia, but had heard they split up. It must be very awkward for them to have to dance together.
Andy looked around the cafeteria for Armand, but didn't spot him anywhere. This was disappointing, but some what of a relief at the same time. On one hand he didn't get to see Armand and make an attempt to win him back, on the other he didn't have to deal with Armand being jealous of Andy being with another guy. At least he hoped it would make Armand jealous even though that wasn't his intention.
"So, would you like to dance or just sit?" he asked Atticus timidly; he still felt very bad about being late.

"Let's just get through this dance so I can go on enjoying the rest of my night,"
Blane smiled smugly and shook his head. Brooke had really turned into quite the little bitch. Even more so then Lena in his opinion. Her little attitude wasn't exactly helping his mood. He was King Goddamnit! He wasn't about to let some little bitch ruin his victory. "I know what you can do with the rest of your night." he whispered into his ear, "You can ditch your pussy f a boyfriend, come back to my place and we can have some fun? Remember when we used to do that? Remember this." He put his hand on the back of Brooke's head and pulled her into a passionate but manly kiss.

"I know what you can do with the rest of your night."
Brooke just rolled her eyes at that comment, trying to ignore him. There wasn't a whole lot she could do about it now, and they were just words. She didn't want to make something out of nothing. Sticks and stones, as the old saying went.
"You can ditch your pussy f a boyfriend, come back to my place and we can have some fun? Remember when we used to do that? Remember this."
Brooke was about to say something at this point. After all, she didn't mind him picking on her, but bringing Tadhg into this wasn't fair. He hadn't done anything other than be there for her, as a friend and a boyfriend, though this whole sucky Blane ordeal. He was new! He didn't have to put up with any of this, but he had. As she began to protest, however, Blane brought a hand behind her head and pulled her into a forceful kiss.
She didn't respond immediately. She did remember this, it was just like things had been before. Blane had a certain way of kissing... it was passionate, but one of those tough, angry, manly passionates. She found herself lost in the moment, just for a split second, when she didn't realize that she actually didn't mind the flashback to certain old times. Back before Blane was such a jerk. She was too shocked to do anything but kiss him back, just for a moment, before she tore herself free of his grip. What had just happened?
"You... I... I can't believe you just did that!" she said, feeling herself tearing up on the spot. She stood there, still shocked, before turning and running out of the cafeteria as fast as she could in her heels.
((ooc- by the way, that wasn't a 'I love you' kissing back, so much as a, 'it's awkward to be in this position without kissing back' type of kissing back... I'm pretty sure that you'd have no choice at some point, you know? like a reflex... or something. Yeah.))

Tad stood there in shock for a second. His mind took a moment to register what had just happened. Blane had just had the gall to. . . Before he knew what was happening, his feet had carried him over to the smarmy asshole. He'd torn out of Viola's grip and despite his normal self control, he swung back and nailed Blane between the eyes. He'd take the detention.
"You cocky, God damned son of a bitch!" Tad spat, waling on him again. He glanced around momentarily for Brooke before seeing her leaving the cafeteria.
He turned and ran for the exit, following behind her.
"Brooke!" he shouted.

Sure Tad's punch had knocked him to the ground, but Blane still thought it was funny as Hell! He laughed as he wiped blood away from his nose. "You're just upset because you know she liked it!" he cried after Tad who ran away to take care of his whore. A couple of Blane's foot ball buddies came over and help him up and escorted him back to his table while his date was running frantically around to get him napkins. Just because Blane was laughing didn't mean Tad was going to get off easy. . .oh no. . Blane was already thinking of a nice plan of revenge for this. .
"Hey Mike," he said to one of his friends, "Go get me some duct tape."

Andy was late. Very late. Atticus had considered just showing up at the dance on his own, thinking maybe he had forgotten, but realized that if he was just running late then it would look like he'd stood Andy up by leaving. So he waited, and waited... until finally Andy showed up. He stopped counting how many 'I'm sorry's Andy had said on the drive to the dance, but Atticus just shrugged it off. It wasn't like they had missed much; the last two hours of the dance would be just like the first one.
"Really, it's fine. Everyone oversleeps," he said once more as they arrived and entered the school.
"So, would you like to dance or just sit?"
Atticus was about to respond when the Homecoming King kissed the Homecoming Queen, who then ran off crying. Something told him that the two of them weren't on the best of terms. Shaking his head a little he turned back to Andy. "So much drama," he commented. "Well, I suppose we should find a table, at least." Dancing sounded like a good idea, but if they didn't find an empty seat now then chances are they never would.

Viola watched as Tad ran out of her grip and landed one right on that arrogant ass's face. She covered her mouth in slight shock at seeing her cousin do that. She frowned and watched as he chased Brooke out of the cafeteria. She saw that the Blane guy laughing and bit her lip slightly.
"Oh superfluous penguins," she muttered to herself, turning to Vinnie. "This can't be good."

Vinnie was torn between kicking the shit out of Blane and going to see if Brooke was alright. He decided to with the latter because there was already enough of a scene going on. Come on." Vinnie told Viola as he got out of his seat and follow Tad out of the cafeteria. It seemed like Brooke went into a ladies room so Vinnie stopped dead. The girls bathroom. . . fuuuck. "Um, Viola? I think you ought to handle this."

Viola followed Vinnie out to the girl's bathroom, but after leaning against door with her ear pressed against it, she could hear two voices both of which she recognized.
"Umm, I think I'll let Tad handle this one for a while actually," she told him. "I think he needs a little alone time to talk with Brooke in there. I can go in if the crying gets bad. . ."

Desmond was ready to have a bitch fit all over that dance floor, but decided to go check on Brooke instead. He was sure that his group of friends wasn't going to let Blane get away with this so he was ok with not immediately slapping Blane across the face. Ho followed closely after Vinnie and Viola and stood out side the girls bathroom with them.
"Yeah, I agree with Viola; we really shouldn't get involved." he said. He knew that he wouldn't want extra people getting involved if Josh was trying to comfort him after a traumatizing moment. It was best to let Tad handle this. The rest of them could do their part once Brooke was ready to come out.

Audrey remained calm through the whole ordeal. Well, she was visibly calm, but was fuming on the inside. Blane was a dick; that was completely uncalled for! Only a piece of shit like Blane would try to fuck up Brooke's relationship with Tad just for the Hell of it. She still couldn't believe she used to date that son of a bitch! When she spotted Vinnie, Viola, and Desmond leaving to probably see if Brooke was ok Audrey left too, but she had other motives. Once out in the hallway she began to walk toward the three.
"Yeah, I'm slashing his tires." she said flatly as she walked right passed them.

Dylan who was still inside the cafeteria, had witnessed all the teenage drama and acknowledged it all with a sad little shake of his head. What a reject that Blane was; God it was a wonder he still had the mental capacity to play on the team. It was then he spotted Adamo sitting off by himself looking adorable in a black ensemble with a white tie. He put down his cup and made his way over tot the boy's table. He grinned as he towered over him.
"Nobody puts baby in a corner," he said jokingly. Adamo looked up and Dylan smiled at the slight blush in his cheeks. "D'you want to dance?"

Andy was a little embarrassed that during Atticus first time at his school there had to be some sort of spectacle. It just wasn't enough that he was late was it? Andy did his best to shake it off though. At least Atticus didn't seem too bothered by it. Andy didn't know why, but he really wanted to impress Atticus, but so far he really wasn't getting off to a great start.
"Well, I suppose we should find a table, at least."
"Ok." said Andy quickly. He stood on his tip toes to get a good look around for an empty table. Finding one wasn't looking so good until he finally spotted one all the way over in the back corner. He had trouble spotting it because it was so dark back there. "There's one." said Andy, pointing over at it. He lead Atticus around the dance floor and over to the table.

Noah’s mom drove Christian and him to the homecoming dance. The two of them had gotten quite close over the past week. It was kind of hard not to with Christian living under the same roof – in the same room, even – as him. That helped to make this a lot less awkward than it could have been. Yes, now that they were there, together, he realized how awkward this could have been if he wasn’t so comfortable around Christian.
“See,” he said, listening to the music float in through the doors. “Aren’t you glad you came?”

Christian followed Noah inside his “dearly beloved” high school, looking around skeptically at all the decorations and bad music. A dance was the last thing he thought he’d be doing after leaving home, but Noah had been persistent and Christian could be somewhat of a push-over, especially with the eagerness Noah had displayed.
So, with a dark, navy suit jacket, a white blouse, and black slacks – all taken from his house after he returned during the night – he drove with Noah to St. James in order to have a “fun time”.
“Aren’t you glad you came?”
“Um, I guess,” he said unconvincingly but jokingly. He didn’t want to be a bummer but he had to admit that he wasn’t terribly excited for anything other than to go to bed.

Noah sighed at how extremely unenthusiastic Christian seemed. “Oh, lighten up,” he said. He truly believed that things like this were all about your mindset. If Christian allowed himself to, he could have an amazing time. Noah wouldn’t have forced him to come if he thought he’d be miserable the entire night. Maybe this hadn’t been the best idea. Still, the night was young and there was plenty of time left to change his mind.
“You will have fun, damnit, or… or…” Noah struggled to think of a threat, but ended up smiling as he thought of something better. “Do I have to hire you a male escort?” He was kidding, of course, but he hoped it would lighten Christian’s mood a little.

“You will have fun, damnit, or… or… Do I have to hire you a male escort?”
Christian stared at Noah blankly for a moment before bursting out into laughter, true laughter. He hadn’t really laughed/smiled in… wow. A while, to say the least. Actually, he was surprised as well as amused; he hadn’t thought of Noah, straight son of a preacher man, as capable to joke so… dirtily.
“Wow, wow. I actually don’t believe you just said that… but now that you mention it…” he joked, hoping Noah could both deal them and take them in stride.
