Brooke was the first person in the stadium that Friday. This was the first day of the week she hadn't gone right from school to work, and that was because she'd worked it out with Michael to get off for the football games. After all, she was the Head Cheerleader. Cheerleader Captain, as some liked to call the title. No matter how you said it, though, it meant that she had to be the loudest, the most energetic, and the most school spirited.
It also meant that she was supposed to go out with the captain of the football team, like she had been, but look how well that had turned out for her. Not so well at all. Just the same, as the team left the field to get ready in the locker rooms, she wished each and every one of them good luck... even Blane.
She placed down her megaphone and her red and gold pompoms by her spot, looking up at the vast stadium that was just beginning to see the first of the spectators arrive. This was going to be a good night, she could feel it.

Tad showed up to the football game wearing a form fitting blue t-shirt with the the word JET on it in white. He wore a white longe sleeved shirt under it. He saw Brooke and the other cheerleaders and offered her a wave as he took a seat in the front of the bleachers.

Brooke was standing around in her uniform, having taken off her warmup suit a few moments ago. It was red and gold, their school colors, and one of the best ones she had seen in a while. They were brand new, and she had picked them out herself. They were perfect.
The other girls were talking to her still, which was good, even if they seemed to be more concerned with staying friends with the football players than her. She didn't mind. She was chatting with a friend when Tadhg showed up, and she got distracted. She watched him enter the stadium and take a seat in the front row of the bleachers. He really did come! She hadn't been sure, and even if he did, she pictured him just hanging around for a while and leaving. But here he was, early, and sitting right in front of her.
She waved back, smiling up at him, until one of the girls got her attention so they could start practicing their lifts and stunts. She had to force herself not to be too distracted... she'd hate to drop someone!

Tad watched and was glad to see that Brooke returned the wave. Deciding that sitting there and watchign the cheerleaders stretch might constitute as beign creepy, he decided to go over to the parent food services and get himself some fries.
He left his jacket there to save his seat: there was nothing worth stealing in his pockets unless someone valued lint. He spared a final glance at the girls, after all he was only a teenage boy, and headed over to the snack stand.
Once he had his fries, he leaned against the bleacher's side and began to eat them. He hadn't eaten dinner so he could just get somethign cheap here.

"It that your new boyfriend Brooke?" asked Lena slyly as she began to do her stretches. She couldn't help but notice Brooke eying up a boy in the stands. It was her personal opinion that Blane was much better looking, but she kept that to herself since Brooke was head cheer leader. She was very glad that Blane had finally broke up with Brooke; now that she was dating the captain of the football team it immediately upped his status with the other cheer leaders.
Being a cheerleader and being in band meant that she could perform with the band in the stands, but still got to do the field show. She loved being able to do both, but in front of the other cheerleaders she acted like band was just some annoying thing her father made her do.

Garrett showed up at the football game unexpectedly. He couldn't stand being home tonight. His dad had a bad day at work and had come home in a drunken rage, so he ahd come here instead. The game hadn't started yet unfortunately, but at least there were two or three other kids there so he didn't feel like a complete loser.

Viola walked into the stadium with Ravi having paid to get in as this wasn't there school. Sh ehad agreed to meet Desmmond, his cousin as long as they got to meet up with her cousin Tad there. He had just moved into the area with his gorgeous english dad. (his mother and her da were related. .. it wasn't a creepy incest thing)
She loooked around and spotted what looked like a taller, shaggier-haired version of her cousin standing by the fry stand. She grinned excitedly and nudged Ravi.
"That's Tad!" she said pointing. "Come with me, but I have to running hug him so I can scare the crap out of him."
After saying that she ran down the hill to Tad and threw her arms aroudn him, giving him a noogie, then pucnhing his arm.

doo dee doo dee doo then the band played their pirates of the Caribbean themed field show to thunderous applauds from the almost packed stadium doo dee doo dee doo
Desmond took his seat with his snare drum at the front of the stands with the rest of the drumline. It had been another great field show and of course Desmond never had any trouble watch their incredibly hot drum major. He smelled the fries cooking at the fry stand and couldn't wait for third quarter break; he was starving! But his cousin Ravi did say he was coming so maybe he could make the kid go get him something to eat.

Ravi made sure he followed close behind Viola; he didn't want to get lost at an unfamiliar school full of unfamiliar people. Although Ravi hadn't said anything he was a bit disappointed that Kyan hadn't joined them, it would have been a great opportunity to talk to Kyan somewhere that wasn't Babylon.
He was a bit startled at Viola's greeting to her cousin, but guess he was probably used to it. He hopped that Desmond wouldn't greet him in a similar way, he probably wet his pants if he did.
"umm, hi, I'm Ravi." he said Awkwardly.

Audrey sat right behind Desmond with the rest of the flute section. She was so glad that the Flutes sat right behind Desmond's because she couldn't stand most of the bitches in here section. She was boredly looking around the stadium when she spotted her friend Garrett. She grabbed an empty bottle that was under her seat and threw it at him to get his attention.
"Hey asshole!" she called as she waved to him.

Tad dropped his fries and made a sort of AHHHRGHH sound as someone latched onto him from behind.
"JESUS SHIT!" he yelled.
Then he saw who had done the hugging and the noogieing which he bore with a drisgruntled glare and the punching in the arm which he winced at.
"Viola?" he said disbelievingly. I forgot you lived near here! Holy shit! Hey!"
He gave her a quick punch back and dodged her retaliation. He then looked over at the guy she was with. HE waved at him and yet eyed him suspiciously.
H"ello there Ravi," he said, then leaned in closer to him. "Are you Vi's boyfriend?"

Garrett heard an empty bottle hit the ground a foot or so behind him and turned around. He heard Audrey's call of 'hey asshole' and pretended to make and offended expression. He brought his hand to his chest and mouthed 'Me?'
He then smirked and waved back at her.

"Boyfriend!?" sputted Ravi, his face turning bright red, "Nonononono, I-I'm just her friend, we're not like that at all. N-not that there's anything wrong with Vi, I-I, ah, kinda like someone else."

"Okay, then I guess I don't have to threaten you with the usual male family figure speech," he said with a joking grin. He then rounded on Viola.
"You owe me another thing of fries," he said.

Portia sighed quietly as she tapped her flute against her lap. It was pretty cold considering how early it was in the school year, but she supposed it would teach her to layer more. Unless they played something, she was bored out of her skull, what with the mindless gabbering of her fellow schoolmates being the only source of entertainment. All they needed was the occasional nod or acknowledging "Uhunh" to keep them happy. As long as someone was paying attention to what they were saying, they just kept blabbering away.
So, Portia was free to drift in and out of different thoughts that happened to preoccupy her mind. Not much had happened in the past week... not much had happened ever... god, she was so unsatisfied with her life. If there was a salesman pitching something even remotely interesting that could change her life, she'd probably fall for it. Anything to have something more.
Absently glancing around, she caught the sight of Audrey, whom she'd met a little while ago. She looked like she was having a good time, which left Portia a little more than jealous.
"Got to find something less depressing to think about..."

"Oh, shut up and pop a squat." said Audrey as grabbed Garrett's back belt loop and pull him down next to her. "You live, I promise." A few of the Flute girls giggled and slid over to get a better look at Garrett. "Back off bitches, he's with me!" Audrey said to them and they backed off for fear of Audrey's wrath.

Garrett felt himself pulled down into a siting position, and he almost swatted Audrey off of himself forcibly, but had to remidn himself to supress those urges. He felt his face get slightly warmer as the girls were looking, but managed to keep a bit of a smirk on his face.
"You know, things like that ruin my chances of ever getting laid at this school," he grumbled.

"Woops," she said helplessly. "How about we buy you some more fries after we say hi to his cousin Desmond?"

Brooke continued stretching as Lena spoke to her, trying to appear nonchalant. "What? Oh, Tadhg. No... I mean, we're going out for dinner tomorrow, but we're not actually dating." Brooke wanted to add the word 'yet' to the end of her sentence, but didn't. After all, she liked him, but she wasn't positive that he liked her back in that way. Being new, she didn't want to rush him into anything while he was still trying to settle in and get used to a new school and a new town.
She knew that Lena couldn't care less about her anyway. She was dating Blane now, and Brooke was positive that the two of them deserved each other. They were both rotten to the core. Lena was only a sophomore, so she wasn't a threat squad-wise, but she had grown a lot in popularity since she'd begun to date Blane. Whatever.
She watched Tadhg get tackle-hugged by a girl she didn't recognize, and found herself oddly curious. Way too curious, actually, to the point where she was almost worried that this was someone he liked. Maybe he had met her in the city, or something... Brooke shook her head. Whoever she was, it wasn't any of her business. She distracted herself by picking up her pom poms and getting the banner ready to hold out as the team rushed onto the field.
"GO TEAM! WOOO!" she yelled, jumping up and down as the football players approached.

"Hey I know him," Tad said. "All right, but as soon as you're done talkign I get my fries. I'm going to follow you until I get them."
Viola had been his favorite cousin growing up: she was so much like him in ways. He followed them over to the marching band and turned to watch as the football players were supposed to come onto the field. He couldn't help but grin as he saw Brooke again. He tried to wipe the grin off his face before Viola saw it or else he'd be subjected to endless taunting.

Ravi followed Tad over to the marching band and quickly spotted Desmond sitting with the drumline in front of his friend Audrey who was sitting next to a very cute boy who kinda reminded him of Kyan, sigh.
"Hi Desmond!" Ravi said to him. He's always thought Desmond was so col growing up and he still did, but he was sure Desmond was annoyed by him. He always looked out for Ravi in Junior high, but then Desmond went to St. James, and Ravi went to GW.

"Why hello wittle Wavi!" said Desmond mockingly, reaching up a pinching his cousin's cheek. The kid was squirrelly and a bit of a pussy, but he put up with him for his uncles sake. Desmond was related to Ravi though Ravi's biological father, but he was raised by two dikes. He noticed two other people with him; Tad and some random chick. "Hello Taddy!" he turned to girl, "And you must be Ravi's girlfriend!" He was sure that Ravi would never have the balls to ask out someone, boy or girl, but he sounded serious when he said it none the less.
