The First Football Game!!!

[Viola Hastings]

"I doubt it," she replied to Ravi. "I didn't invite him to come. He said football games weren't his thing even if he didn't have to work tonight. Listen don't worry about him tonight. Just try to have fun."

[Ravi Malone]

Ravi's face fell. "Oh, ok." he said slowly with disappointment. He hadn't expected Kyan to come to the game, but he was hoping he would at least go to the diner to at least hang out with Viola. Ravi really wanted to spend time with Kyan out side of school and most all Babylon; he wanted to go home and cry every time he went there because of all the hot guys stealing Kyan's attention. It was very discouraging.

[Garrett Speelers]

"So," Garrett said slightly discouraged. "It's still true."

[musethee]

Gogo glared at Audrey. "Well, I'd rather be a drug addict than a fucking bitch who makes fun of people to make myself feel better." said Gogo flatly.

[audrey]

"Watch it, White!" snaped Audrey glaring at Gogo. The two of them never really got along to well and it was a good thing Garrett was sitting between the two. "Garrett knows I'm just fucking with him."

[brooke]

Brooke had noticed how the drum major thrusted while he conducts, but she wasn't going to admit that to Desmond.

"I'll make sure to look next time," she said, smiling. Every time she tried to say hello to Vinnie someone else was saying something to her. She was a little surprised as to how well they were taking her into their group. Surprised in a good way. Finally, there was a break in the conversation.

"Hey Vinnie!" No sooner did she say this, she caught wind of some tense tones being used between Audrey and Gogo. She hoped there wasn't some sort of fight going on. That would be bad.

[vinnie]

"Hey Brooke." said Vinnie with a smile. "You're doing well I hope?" Then he heard the small up roar between Audrey and Gogo. Brooke seemed to have noticed it too. Vinnie sighed "Yeeaah, they've never gotten along real well. Some thing about their personalities just clashes I suppose. Any way, I like what you've done to your hair; it suits you very well."

[Desmond Giuseppe]

Oh, Audrey and Gogo, those bitches just loved their little fights! "Yo bitches!" Desmond said loudly over Gogo and Audrey, "Break it up before I go get the hose!"

[brooke]

Brooke nodded, and then tried to ignore the two girls. After all, it wasn't any of her business what they say to each other.

"Thanks," she said, running a hand through her hair in response to Vinnie's compliment. "I thought it was time for a change," she added, smirking.

[Garrett Speelers]

Garrett threw his hands over his heads as the two girls argued back and forth.

"Listen to Desmond," he chimed in, thinking it was slightly funny nonethelss.

[vinnie]

"You're welcome." said Vinnie with a smile. "Yeah, I know what you mean; I want to get my hair cut, but Audrey said she'll disown me if I do and Desmond's not to fond of the idea either, but I've had it long like this since seventh grade. It's starting to get old." Then Desmond was able to get Audrey and Gogo to calm down. "I knew Desmond would be able to handle it." he said with a smirk.

[Ravi Malone]

Ravi tugged on Viola's sleeve again. "Do you think Kyan will come if you ask him to?" he asked hopefully.

[Viola Hastings]

"No, he doesn't like skipping out on work unless it's an emergency," she said.

[Ravi Malone]

"Oh." said Ravi with dissapointment. Maybe he shouldn't even bother going to the stupid diner if Kyan's not going to be there. . .

[musethee]

Gogo shrugged and turned away from Audrey; she really wasn't worth her time but non the less it worked her up a little bit. Now she need a smoke. "Garrett, do you have any cigarettes?" she asked him.

Garrett sat back up straight, towering over most of the other kids as he did so. He reached insode of his leather jacket adn pulled out a slightly crinkled box of cigarettes. He took one out and handed it to Gogo.

"Yeah actually I do," he said. "You're going to wait till 3rd quarter though right?"

[musethee]

Gogo sighed. "Fine." she said taking the cigarette, "but only if you come out and have a smoke with me so I don't look like an idiot smoking by myself."

[brooke]

Brooke tried to imagine Vinnie with short hair. "I don't know... I can't picture you with short hair, so I can't really say. I do like it long, though. Nothing against the way it is now, if that helps."

She didn't really think it would help, but she wanted to make conversation. After all, these were the sorts of people she wanted to be friends with. They were nice, and not quite so judgemental as her other group of friends. It was a nice change.

[vinnie]

Vinnie smiled. "I guess I'll just have to leave it the way it is then." said Vinnie with a shrug, pushing some of his hair out of his face, "Change isn't necessarily a good thing, anyway. Oh, hey, half time is almost over you'd better get over to the sidelines to welcome back the football team. I guess I'll see you at the diner tonight though right?"

[Tadhg Kelly]

Tad kept quiet while Vinnie and Brooke were talking. He felt comfotable to just stand there ad listen to them talk. He felt an odd stirring of jealousy toward the end of the conversation: Vinnie was a much better looking guy than him he thought, but he shrugged it off.

What a riddiculous thought. Vinnie was a nice guy, he wasn't trying to be flirtatious. He was just nervous because he had a new girlfriend again.

"I guess I'll see you later then," Tad said to Brooke. He wondered if it would be allright to kiss her before she left, but decided he might be moving to fast for her.

He let his arm slide off her and gave her a quick kiss on the cheeck instead of the lips like he wanted. He grinned anyway, God he liked being near her.

[Garrett Speelers]

"I guess I can," Garrett said. Frankly, gogo frightened himlately, and he smoked when he needed to, but he felt like he might wan to during third quarter anyway.

[musethee]

"And what do you know! The third quarter is now!" she didn't stay to play with the band to welcome back the football team, she simply got up and motioned for Garrett to follow. She walked out of the stadium and went to a darker corner of the parking lot so they were less likely to be seen; smoking on school grounds wasn't allowed. She pulled the cigarette that Garrett had given her out of her pocket and put it in her mouth. "Light?" she asked Garrett.

[brooke]

Brooke nodded. "Yeah, I'm skipping the afterparty to go to the Diner... I can't wait to see how that goes over," she added. Since Vinnie's little sister was a cheerleader, he probably knew the importance of the afterparty and how this might not be a wise move on Brooke's part. But, as the brother of Blane's new girlfriend, he could probably understand why she didn't really want to be there in the first place.

And then Brooke realized that the time really was running down. She had to be out there in one more minute! Tad slid his arm off of her shoulders and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She smiled, giving him a quick hug. "Yeah, I'd better hurry! Enjoy the rest of the game!" she said before going back down to the field.

Garrett put a cigarette in his own mouth and pulled out his lighter. He lit Gogo's first and then lit his. He leaned up against the fence and put a fingerless gloved hand to his lips, blowing smoke out of his mouth as he took the cigarette out.

Tad was releved when Brooke gave him a hug. These things could be so awkward at first, but it wasn't turning out to be that way.

"See you," Tad called as she left. He then turned to Viola and raised a finger suspiciously. "You shut tup before you even start."
