Kyan came into the house where he'd first been introduced to the fiasco that now was his, Toby's and somehow Ravi's relationship status. He was wearing a pair of slim fitting black pants and black chucks which he'd bought solely for this occasion: he wasn't big on converse otherwise. His shirt was a black t-shirt with an x-ray like skeleton on it. His hair was it's usual spikey and messy self, but he'd put on black makeup surrounding his eyes almost like a mask.
He looked around for the alcohol supply. Glad that his stitches were finally healed up. It was just a simple process of having them removed tomorrow. For the record, they're completely healed and cannot rip anymore. He noticed several people he recognized: including Vi and her new beau and. . .Toby and some blond kid who seemed dressed to match.
That blond kid. . .he looked like. . .oh what was his name. . .Brower. He'd fucked him ages ago it seemed. The kid was good looking, but what was he doing here with Toby? Perhaps they'd come in a group. . .after all he was the one who was supposed to have other boyfriends. . .Toby didn't seem the type for that.
He confusedly walked into the kitchen and grabbed a beer.

"Kyan!" Ravi bellowed as he spotted him walk through the door. Kyan had clearly seen Toby and Andy together and Ravi felt himself become upset for Kyan's sake. Before Ravi knew Kyan had disappeared in the the crowd of costume clad people. It really wasn't hard to figure out where Kyan had gone though; the kitchen. It was where the drinks were after all. Ravi shot one more confused look at Toby and Andy before making his way through the crowd to the kitchen and more importantly Kyan.
"Kyan!" Ravi bellowed once more as he went up to the older boy. "Kyan, I-I-I saw Toby and Andy together and I don't understand! I just saw them come in together with matching costumes and I looked around for you but you weren't here and I wanted to know if you ere alright because I know you and Toby ar-ar-ar-are in a r-relationship so I didn't know what's going on! I-I-I-I understand if your upset and I'll give you a hug if you want." Ravi stood with a sober look on his face and his arms out stretched waiting for Kyan to want a hug. Even though he knew Kyan must hate him, Ravi still didn't want to see Kyan upset.

Zanna didn't seem to like hearing about Vinnie talking about her. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything at all to Viola. . . On the other hand if it wasn't for Viola Vinnie might not be with Zanna right now. It wasn't as if he'd said anything negative about Zanna. Vinnie just made a mental note to be bit wiser in the future.
He kept a small polite smile on his face through JD's awkwardness and wasn't surprised to hear Paul state that he like him. Vinnie really wasn't a fan of the obvious age difference; he saw it as a bit inappropriate for someone in their mid twenties to be dating a teenage girl. Also, Vinnie was just a naturally protective person. He didn't like the situation, but he was willing to give JD a chance.
As Paul spoke to Viola, Vinnie boldly put his arm around Zanna. If she pulled away or Vinnie thought she was uncomfortable he wouldn't push the matter. He didn't want things to move to fast, but he did want them to move at a steady pace and he wasn't going to let his awkwardness with girls stop that from happening.
"I think your costumes are great." Vinnie told the couple. "You put your own spin on a classic and I think that's cool."

Brooke laughed as Desmond asked how he was doing by acting straight.
"You're doing brilliantly," she agreed with Tadhg. "I wouldn't have any idea you were gay if I met you outside of htis party."
She noted the fact that Tadhg didn't rush right to the alcohol, not that it meant anything. It was a good sign, though. She looked over as she heard slightly elevated voices and spotted that they were coming from Blane, who was hassling Garrett and Faye. She wanted desperately to intervene, but knew that it wasn't her place. A part of her was kind of relieved that it wasn't her that he was bothering this time around, though she felt bad for Garrett since he was related to Blane.

Faye could feel Garrett tense under her touch, and knew that he was fighting the same urge to punch Blane in the face that she was. She also knew that what Garrett said to his cousin probably wasn't going to go over well, and hoped that this wasn't going to lead to a fight. She wasn't in the mood for more drama than she already had in her life.
As Garrett became very serious and assured her that he wouldn't let his father come after her, all she could do was flash him a confident smile. "I know," she said, though her mind flashed back to that night after the dance when he had pushed her... not that she minded. She could deal with his abusive father if it meant supporting him. She was willing to risk it, and that level of commitment was both terrifying and amazing. "It's okay."
Since her being with Garrett seemed to bother Blane, she made a point to move closer to him, standing almost shoulder-to-shoulder (minus the height difference). They really did look the part of a couple.

Tobias was glad that Andy drank. It made him feel a little better about the fact that he was known to have a drink every now and then, though usually only for social events like this.
"Yeah, I've been known to knock a few back," he admitted. "But I doubt I'll have more than one tonight... the doctors told me not to drink for a while due to the medication they had me on. Pretty potent stuff, apparently."
It was then that Kyan came in, gave Toby a questioning glance, but didn't come over to speak to him. Instead, he went right into the kitchen. He was followed quickly by Ravi, which made Toby nervous. He gave Andy a nervous look. Toby debated following the two of them into the kitchen, knowing that he and Andy would both need a drink soon enough, and he'd have to talk to Kyan at some point or another.

"I love that story," Zanna blurted out as Viola explained her costume. She didn't want to come across as a nerd, but in what free time she managed to acquire she did love to read. Dracula had been one of her favorites for a long while.
She smiled, glad that she had things in common with these new people she kept meeting. She was immensely glad that she had decided to come to this party. Some new faces were really what she needed. Feeling Vinnie's arm around her was comforting as well, and she didn't shy away from the touch. If anything, she leaned into the embrace a little.
"Wait, Viola? You played soccer at George Washington, right? I thought I recognized you... it's such a huge school, I don't know half the people in our own graduating class!" she said, smiling.
((ooc- I figured they would know each other, being in the same grade/school and all... lol. Just realized that.))

Blane ignored Faye; why should he listen to some bitch. Besides, it just made Garrett even more of a pussy because his woman had stood up to him first. Instead he put all his attention on Gar.
Don't you have some freshman you could be giving swirlies to, or beer bongs to chug? Or has the night sunk so low you've resorted to irritating us?
"Been there, done that." said Blane with a laugh. His buddies laughed stupidly behind him. The first thing they all did when they got to the party was chug a beer bong. It was a football team tradition. And as for the Freshman, well, that kid had defiantly seen better days. "Besides, I hardly see you at school anymore. Aw, Gar I'm starting to feel like you're just trying to avoid me." Blane mocked sounding hurt, "Or maybe you're too busy getting in on with your new girlfriend here. Tisk tisk tisk, she can do much better than you."
Blane paused to let all his buddies have a laugh before continuing. "My cup is empty," he said while thrusting his empty cup at his cousin, "why don't you go fill it for me? Or better yet, go get me a bottle of beer, a closed bottle. I don't want you putting anything nasty in my frosty brew." Blane gave Garrett a look as if daring him to disobey.

"I'm not familiar with the Dracula stories, sorry," said Paul, "I mean, I know the basic story of him being a vampire and all. I'm really just not a fan of vampires because I'm deafly afraid of the sight of blood; I turn pale and pass out when ever I see it." Paul said this all very casually. He was never timid when it came to admitting his faults; he liked to think it made him seem more personable despite all his talent in music. "but it's still a very lovely costume and I'm sure that you look just like the character!"
Out of the corner of his eye Paul saw Vinnie put his arm around Zanna. He suppressed a giggle by covering it up as a cough and continuing conversation. "I'm dressed as a young Severus Snape, if you're familiar with the Harry Potter books" he said with a small bounce on his heals, "I wanted to go as Ron, but my hair is already black so I was just like, fuck it, I'll go as Snape."

Garrett stared at the cup thrust in front of him with an eyebrow raised. He looked around as if searching for the person Blane thought he was ordering around.
"Who the hell are you talking to?" Garrett asked. "Get your own drink, if you're so damn thirsty. And shouldn't you go back to Tipsy or Mipsy or whatever her name is over there. . .she looks like she's about to start roamin.'"

Blane laughed; he'd expected Garrett to refuse. Luckily, he was prepared for such an event. All of his buddies looked at each other with smiles on their faces, knowing what Blane had in mind. "Let me rephrase that," he said with a smirk, "Go get me a fucking drink or I'll go tell your father, my dear uncle, that you were hanging out with the fags again. I think you remember better than anyone how he reacted that last time I told him about your friends."
For some reason, making Garrett's life miserable just made Blane feel all warm and fuzzy inside. If he got bored later, perhaps he'd move on to Tad and his whore, Brooke. They were always fun to mess with, but Blane hadn't cause much trouble since Home Coming. Lately that Prudence girl had been stealing a bit of his thunder by making life difficult for the fags and company, but Prudence wasn't a the party so it was Blane's turn.

Kyan was found by Ravi. Damn it, already? He was rambling on about Toby and Andy--THAT was his name--and cheating and . . . hugs.
"Woah. . .woah there, no hugs,' Kyan said. He was not one for public displays of affection. "Toby and I aren't married. He can see whoever he wants. And I can fuck whoever I want. Just cause he and Andy are matching doesn't mean a thing."

"Yeah, I did play soccer there, until they cut the team," she said bitterly. "I'm so glad you know the story though!"
She said to Vinnie and Zanna. She wasn't offended by Paul not being in the know. It wasn't exactly common information.
"Oh, I know all about Harry Potter," she assured him. "I was at the midnight magic party for the last one."

Ravi didn't understand the concept of an 'open' relationship. If you really loved someone would you just want to be with them and want them to only be with you? It seemed like the arrangement was more for Kyan's benefit. Ravi just couldn't see Toby being alright with it. He'd just came out of the closet after all, the last thing he needed was such a confusing relationship. Maybe that's why he was with Andy. . . Andy had been willing to match costumes with Toby. . . and now that Ravi thought of it, his father had mentioned something about a blond kid coming to visit Toby. . .
"Well, um, yeah," Ravi stammered, dropping his arms in disappointment, "ok. . . . if you're sure you're fine with it I guess. . . Hey, I think my little sister has that shirt." he said thoughtfully. He then realize that that could be potentially offensive to Kyan, "Not that it isn't an incredible manly shirt!! I'm just saying th-that they shouldn't make it in kid sizes. . . you know?"

Andy knew there was some sort of unspoken something going on. He glanced back towards the kitchen.
"Do you want to just get the first drink out of the way?" he asked, guessing that if Toby wanted to talk to Kyan, it would be better for both of them if he was the one to suggest it.

Garrett felt his face flush ever so slightly. He remembered all too well the last time Blane had ratted him out to his father. He'd come to school with some concealable bruises and a shiner he just couldn't hide.
"Go ahead and tell him," Garrett said, defiantly.
He'd had enough of Blane's bullshit at tis point. If Blane told his dad, which he didn't doubt the asshole would, he'd explain to his dad that he was only doing it on the ACS's orders. And well if that didn't work he'd through a dart at the excuses for why he had bruises today board.
"Do you wanna go see who's joined our group?" he asked Faye. "Some kid over there's dressed as Snape.

"I'm fine with it," Kyan said in a final sort of way. Perhaps it was more to convince himself than anything else.
He raised his eyebrows at Ravi, and simply downed his cup of beer before looking in the fridge for a bottle of corona and a twist of lime. .. there had better be a twist of lime. . .
"Well anyone can shop at hot topic for their costumes," he said, finding a gladware container of lime slices.
He twisted the bottle cap off with the palm of his hand and squeezed the lime juice into the bottle. Coronas just tasted better that way. He sucked the rest of the juice out of the lime, gave a pleasant little shiver at the sour taste, and took a swig of beer.

Ravi frowned at Kyan; he had to be more upset about this then he let on. Toby had to be one of the first people Kyan even admitted that he cared about in a more than friendly way and now Toby was at the party with another boy. It just had to bother Kyan some what whether he'd admit it or not and if it didn't, it should. If it were Ravi he'd be crying in a corner.
"Ar-are you sure it doesn't bother you?" he asked timidly as Kyan got himself a Corona. He just couldn't believe that none of this was upsetting to Kyan. It even made Ravi a little angry that Kyan wasn't even showing the least bit of emotion because of the situation. To Ravi he saw this as Kyan not caring about Toby and that just wasn't fair. No wonder Toby had come with another guy, Kyan obviously wasn't giving him what he wanted.

Toby wondered if Andy had pieced together what had gone on in Toby's head. He knew that whatever Ravi was saying to Kyan couldn't be good, and he did feel a little bit guilty about coming to the party, essentially with a date, and not telling Kyan about it. Still, he wasn't sure if he really wanted to confront the situation just then. After all, he and Andy weren't officially dating or anything. They'd kissed, but never agreed on a status. That, coupled with his 'open relationship' with Kyan, was more than confusing.
"Yeah, I'll go get us some drinks," he said, knowing that if the situation with Kyan and Ravi got awkward he didn't want Andy there for it. "I'll be right back," he added quickly, with a smile and a wink. He entered the kitchen to hear Ravi ask if something bothered Kyan, but didn't overhear enough to know what they'd been talking about.
"Hey guys," he said casually, grabbing two cups and making his way over to the keg.

Faye nodded, eager to get away from Blane. She was now genuinely concerned for Garrett, knowing that the threat made to him wasn't an empty one. While she was glad that he had stood up to Blane she was afraid for the consequences.
In that moment she hated Blane more than she had ever hated anybody else in her entire life. Garrett had been so happy recently, it seemed as if he had really started to get used to things turning out alright for once, and now his jerk of a cousin was going to ruin all that. She didn't want to see him broken down again.

Right then and there with a smirk on his face Blane turned his back on his cousin, whipped out his cell phone and dialed his uncle's number. He waited as few moments as it rang then he heard the voice of his uncle say 'hello'.
"Hello Uncle (insert Garrett's father's name here) it's Blane," he said loudly enough for Garrett to hear, "I'm just calling because I thought you should know that I'm at this party right now and you'll never guess who I ran into; Garrett! And you'll never guess who he's hear with! His little fagot friends and his new girlfriend. . . . Well, you're welcome! I know how you feel about this sort of thing so I thought it would be best if I were to tell you. Have a nice evening." Blane snapped his phone shut with a grin on his face.
"Looks like you'll be having some fun tonight!" he called over his shoulder to Garrett before gather his buddies and setting off to cause more trouble.

As soon as Faye heard the cell phone open she knew that this was going to be trouble. She listened to the conversation with bated breath, looking anxiously up at Garrett's face to try and see what his reaction was. She kept her left arm wrapped around his right, but found herself stopped in place so that she could hear Blane's elevated voice. He really just called Garrett's dad!
"Garrett... you should stay at my place for the night," she offered suddenly, looking up into his eyes. "I mean, if you want to. I guess I'm not sure if biding your time will make him more or less angry," she admitted, hoping that she hadn't offended him by suggesting he stay clear of his house for the night. She was just trying to help, but she really didn't know what she could do. She hated feeling so useless and vulnerable...

((Are you related to JK Rowling? Man. . .whenever characters start to get heavy. . .pow))
Garrett felt himself lunge forward slightly, as if to hit Blane but (( I don't want to assume Faye would hold him back. )) stopped short, and gave a frustrated sigh (which was more of a grunt, really). He pulled out his own cell phone, glaring at Blane's retreating figure and trying to figure out a way to get back at him.
Then Faye offered to let him stay at her house for the night. He felt his face get slightly hot again, but this time for different reasons.
"I always give it a day or two to sink in," he said as if it was no big deal. He didn't want Faye to worry about it. "I wouldn't mind a place to stay. . .but don't your parents kind of hate me?"

"Yes!" Kyan snapped. He took a moment's pause to collect himself. He didn't want to think about Toby right now.
"I'm fine," he added more calmly.
It was then that Toby came into the kitchen. Kyan didn't miss a beat while drinking his beer. He waved at Toby with the hand holding his Corona.
"Hey, nice costume," he said sweeping his gaze up and down Toby. "I like it. Brower's too."

Faye realized that her offer could have been taken the wrong way, but she hadn't meant it like that at all. Of course she didn't expect anything to happen if Garrett spent a day or two crashing at her place, they had just started dating, after all. She just wanted to help and didn't see any other way that she could.
"They do, but... if I just explain things, I'm pretty sure their concern would outweigh their hate. I think they love me more than they hate you. Plus, we have a guest room that never gets used," she added. "I mean, you don't have to if you have somewhere else to go, or something. I just wanted to offer." Faye was sure this had happened before, and didn't want to make him feel that he had to stay at her place just because she asked. She was just throwing it out there, if he didn't want to she wouldn't be offended if he said no. She really just wanted to help.
