Toby smiled at Kyan. "Thanks. It was all Andy's idea... he got everything together while I was stuck in the hospital," he explained, deciding that if Kyan really did like his costume then Andy deserved most, if not all, of the credit.

"I like yours too," he added, unable to hold back a smirk. "Very creative." It really was unique. After all, most people went overboard when it came to costumes. Wearing all black with a skeleton tee was among the minority when it came to costumes. Toby wasn't sure if he was expected to say anything about showing up with a date, or if he should wait and see if Kyan asked. Or, which seemed like an increasingly more likely option, for Ravi to blurt something out.

[Garrett Speelers]

Garrett thought about it. He had Pat to turn to in these sort of scenarios, bu tit was Halloween. His brother was probably too hammered to realize who was even calling him, at this point. And he'd just been there a little while ago and stayed for a few days. He didn't want to abuse his brother's hospitality.

"I. ..mean. . .a place to stay would be nice," he said. "I guess it's okay, but if it makes your parents uncomfortable. . . or it's too much trouble, I can see if my brother is still sober enough to answer his phone by the end of tonight."

Ravi's face turned a bright shade of red when Kyan snapped at him. He would have been upset had he not realized that Kyan's outburst had to be the result of the Toby situation bothering him and not just Ravi being annoying. Ravi had annoyed Kyan far worse before and he'd been patient with him. Toby was the only explanation for Kyan's lack of patience.

All thought, Kyan was able to keep it together when Toby came over. All he did was give him a casual hello and compliment him and Andy on their costumes. Ravi's jaw dropped slightly and moved up and down like a fish out of water. He could sense the tension from Toby, but Kyan was just acting like he didn't care. This was so frustrating! Why couldn't Kyan just punch Andy or something and take his man back! Not that Ravi had anything against Andy or wanted to see him get hurt, he actually thought that Andy was a pretty nice guy based on the few minutes he'd spent with him in Desmond's car. He just wanted Kyan to show some type of reaction to this! Anything really! A dirty look at least, but Kyan just wasn't doing anything!

"H-h-hey Toby," Ravi said timidly once he was able to get his voice to work again. "Yeah. . . you're costumes are nice. . ." He was looking at Toby in a contemplative manner, trying to decide whether he was mad at Toby for 'cheating' on Kyan or happy for him for finding someone who seemed to care about him. No matter what side he took a part of him wanted Toby to feel guilty for what he had done even if he and Kyan were in an 'open' relationship.

((Well, if you insist)) "So. . . you and Andy. . ." Ravi blurted out. He couldn't help it! He couldn't just act like Toby and Andy coming to the party together wasn't like having a giant moose in the room. And he wasn't thinking about that weird tall kid who was dressed as a moose and doing a beer bong on the other side of the kitchen. "If Andy got the costumes together while you were in the hospital you must have been planning this for awhile. . ." Plenty of time for you to have warned Kyan, he thought.

[Desmond Giuseppe]

Unfortunately, Desmond had to stop listening to Tad and Brooke; he was much too distracted by Blane harassing Garrett. He felt his face flush with anger but he refrained from going over to help; the last thing Garret needed was for Desmond to give Blane any type of fuel. Had he gone over all Blane would do was make fun of Garrett for having to be defended by a fagot. All Desmond could do was watch with a look of pure hatred on his face aimed toward Blane.

Once Blane had turned his back on Garrett Desmond slowly made his way over. He heard Blane's entire phone call and felt like his heart had skipped a beat; Garrett's father was going to beat the shit out of him if Garrett went home tonight and it would be all because Garrett had come to the party with Desmond. He thought to hold back Garrett when he made a lung toward Blane, but Garrett held himself back. Luckily Faye was all over Garrett's home situation by offering a place to stay. Garrett seemed a bit uncomfortable with the situation though.

"If you're uncomfortable at Faye's you can always stay at my place." Desmond told Garrett, "You know my mom loves you," he added earnestly. Every time Garrett was at his house Desmond's mother always felt the need to make Garrett food because she felt that he was "far too skinny for a boy of his age". "You can stay in Rain's room." Rain, his older brother was 32 and had moved out years ago.

[Kyan Walker]

Kyan thought about this while Ravi asked questions. Andy had to have come in after he'd left the hospital, perhaps not even the same day. Toby hadn't even mentioned he'd had any other visitors. When he'd offered the open ended relationship, he'd always assumed it would work in his favour and not Toby's. Toby didn't seem the type to want to see other people.

He said nothing, but the muscle's in his jaw seemed to to stiffen as he raised the beer to hi mouth for another swig. He waited for Toby's response.

Tobias shook his head, though he was growing more and more aware of Kyan's silence and general lack of reaction. Of course, he hadn't really expected Kyan to care. He'd been the one who was unwilling to commit to anything after all.

"It was actually kind of rushed... he only asked me to come three days ago, the day after the fight, when he visited me in the hospital. I was surprised he could get all of this together that quickly. I felt kind of bad since I was pretty much sleeping for the past three days. I wasn't sure I'd be able to make it here, even, but I seem to be making a smooth recovery, minus some lightheadedness," he admitted. Tobias was well aware that he was rambling a little just to fill the silence that had been hanging between the three guys.

He wanted to tell Kyan everything, he felt almost like he was lying by omitting the facts that he'd hung out with Andy the day before his fight, that they had gone back to his place and he'd kissed him... that they had kissed. But he still wasn't sure if Andy wanted to commit to a relationship, so he didn't want to jinx anything. Best to just leave those parts out until something more concrete happened, he supposed.

[Garrett Speelers]

Garrett turned to look at Desmond gratefully. It was nice to know he had options if his dad was ever an asshole, which was quite often.

"Thanks, Desmond," Garrett said. "But it's not that I'm uncomfortable, I just don't want to inconvenience you, Faye. I mean if you're sure it's not a problem. ..I'm fine with it."

He didn't want Faye to think he didn't appreciate her offering him a place to stay: he was.

[Kyan Walker]

"You two became fast friends," Kyan said in as careless a tone as he could manage. "I mean him coming out to the hospital to see you." (He explained.)

He leaned against the wall and crossed his arms in a contemplative way, attempting to mask his discomfort with the situation. Why the hell would Andy be coming to visit Toby at the hospital. He and Toby were hardly more than classmates last time he checked. Unless Toby'd been moving a lot faster than he was letting on to anyone else.

"Well at least someone's making a speedy recovery," he said. "I have to wait two more days before going back to Babylon.

And then he'd be off having a good time with boys he'd never mentioned to Toby before. .and they'd see how Toby liked it.

[Ravi Malone]

Ravi looked nervously back and forth between Toby and Kyan. He felt like he was about to witness some thing from a day time soap Oprah, only instead of crazy middle aged people, it was Kyan and Toby. As far as taking sides went, Ravi didn't know who he wanted to agree with. Kyan shouldn't have been a selfish and just stopped fucking around. On the other hand, maybe Toby should have been more honest about things, in regards to how he felt about their relationship and everything with Andy. The main difference was that Ravi expected this kind of behavior out of Kyan because he knew that's just how he was and didn't expect him to change any time soon. Toby, on the other hand, Ravi had always known to be an honest person. Very subtly, Ravi edge over so he was standing a little closer to Kyan than he was Toby.

I have to wait two more days before going back to Babylon.

"My dad said you're making a remarkably fast recovery," Ravi told Kyan in a feeble effort to make him feel better, "Toby, maybe you should still be in bed. . ." he added a bit quietly.

Toby couldn't help but laugh a little. "Well, I'm sure you'll be good as new in no time," he said. Two days wasn't a terribly long time. And, after all, he had only been punched in the head. Kyan had been stabbed.

Toby, maybe you should still be in bed. . ."

Toby shook his head. "I asked, they said so long as I wasn't dizzy any more I should be alright to go out and about," he confirmed, filling up the second cup (Andy's cup) with some beer. He wasn't sure what was expected of him at this point. He admitted that Andy had asked him to come. Was that enough? Things would be so much easier for him if he knew whether Andy wanted to date for real... because that may mean ending his open relationship with Kyan. He and Andy really hadn't spoken about it, though. This was their first real 'date' anyway.

"I guess I should bring this out to Andy," he said, excusing himself from the room. He'd tell Kyan everything, but not then. Not at the party. He'd wait until later, back at Kyan's house. At least, he told himself that he'd say something then.

[Desmond Giuseppe]

"Ok, so long as you have somewhere safe to stay tonight," said Desmond. He really didn't care where Garrett spent the night so long as he was somewhere where his father wouldn't be able to get to him. He just wanted Garrett to know he was always welcome at the Giuseppe home. "Just don't discuss it too loudly here; if Blane hears you you know he'll just be an asshole and tell your father. I can only image what your dad would do knowing you were at Faye's house, or worse, my house." Quite frankly, Desmond wouldn't put it past Garrett's father to come looking for Garrett if he knew where he was. It was best to keep Garrett's plans for the night on the down low.

The whole situation was just extremely awkward and Ravi could sense Toby's discomfort with it. Toby obviously didn't take Ravi's suggestion the way he meant it, then again, Ravi was very bad at sounding anything but wimpy and concerned. At this point, even though Kyan was doing an excellent job of hiding it, Ravi could tell that he wasn't happy about this at all. Ravi would have like to think that Kyan was utterly heart broken, but Ravi didn't know if Kyan was capable of such an emotion. Kyan was probably just kinda pissed off and a little upset.

"I'll, um, I'll be right back," he said and with one last concerned look at Kyan Ravi followed Toby out of the kitchen ad grabbed his arm. "Hey," he said a bit boldly for him, stepping in front of Toby. "You should have told Kyan. . . I know he didn't look it, but I could tell he was a little upset . . . that was a really crappy thing for you to so to him, even if you are in an 'open' relationship. You basically planned this all behind his back and that's not right." Ravi gave Toby a look that he hoped would make the older boy feel guilty about what he'd done. Obviously this was more than a fling for Toby if he felt the need to lie about it.

Ravi didn't know how he'd suddenly grown some balls. He thought it probably had to do with the fact that Kyan had been hurt. He didn't want to see Kyan upset so he wanted the person who cause it (Toby) to know he was being an asshole. That was the least he could do with out going to an extreme.

[Kyan Walker]

"Yeah," said to Toby as he left with another cup of beer, he assumed for Andy.

"Wouldn't want to keep the blond bombshell waiting," he muttered under his breath once the two were gone. After Ravi had said he'd be back, he'd added, "Take your time."

He reached into the freezer and found a bottle of brandy. He poured himself a shot and two for a duo of girls dressed as a whorish Alice in wonderland and what must have been the brothelized version of Tinkerbell standing at the counter. They giggled and it was decided the toast would be to slutty Halloween costumes. He downed his shot and chased it with the beer. He heard one of the girls call for another shot and he was only too happy to oblige.

He was going to get piss drunk tonight, he knew it. He'd probably end up making out with everyone there: gay, straight, or undecided.

Tobias felt the hand on his arm before he saw Ravi come up behind him, and so he spun around quickly to see who it was. He should have known better than to expect anything less than Ravi, trying to put himself into yet another situation where he didn’t belong.

“Excuse me?” Toby asked incredulously. “Behind his back? I’ve been in the hospital, and Andy didn’t ask me to come here until after Kyan had visited. You know, that one time. And since I’ve been back home I’ve only seen Kyan once, and his parents were in the room with us, so I wasn’t about to discuss my Halloween party plans, thanks,” he said, clearly defensive. He wasn’t in the wrong here, no matter how hard Ravi tried to make it seem like he was.

“And what was I supposed to tell him? Andy asked me to a party. That was all!” That was all that Kyan and Ravi knew about, anyway. “It isn’t some huge, terrible secret. I don’t see what the big deal is.”

"Those are just bull shit excuses, Toby and you know it!," he felt like his crazy Spanish mother when she scowled his father. Toby was just being ridiculous. "You could have easily called Kyan. You were avoiding telling him weren't you? If it was just as simple a you make it out to be you wouldn't have been so hesitant to tell him. There's more going on between you and Andy isn't there?" Ravi wasn't physic, but he also wasn't stupid; there had to be more going on here than Toby was leading on. Ravi just knew it.

"If that was all than why was it so hard to tell him!" Ravi looked back into the kitchen and saw Kyan downing alcohol in a manner that wasn't very like him. Poor Kyan! He was obviously upset about all this. Aww Ravi was getting upset because he could tell Kyan was getting upset! He made a mental note to keep his eye on Kyan. . . maybe even make sure he got home ok.

[Faye Prewett]

"It doesn't bother me any," she said. "Plus, your dad barely knows who I am, and Blane has no clue where I live. You're probably safest at my place." Her logic made sense, and so she figured that it was best so long as Garrett didn't find the situation awkward. It would only be for a day or two, anyway.

"Don't worry about it, I'll talk to my parents. Maybe they'll finally come to their senses?" She added hopefully, with a smile. "Or maybe they'll give us both the cold shoulder for the rest of the weekend. Either way, you should be okay."

Tobias shook his head at Ravi.

"You don't know what you're talking about," he said simply, looking at him condescendingly as though he were explaining things to a small child. "We just came to the party together. I wasn't avoiding Kyan. And I wasn't hesitating to tell him anything, because there's nothing to tell. Believe it or not, I've got friends outside the two of you. Last I checked, I was allowed to have other friends and come to parties with other friends. Or have I lost my basic human rights since the last time we chatted?"

Tobias was getting frustrated now. He didn't want to admit to Ravi that he and Andy had kissed because he didn't know what was going to come of it. "And so what if something was going on?" he spat, frustrated. "Kyan's the one who was unwilling to commit to a relationship. His idea was for us to see other people as well. So why would I turn away something that might have some potential? Now if you'll excuse me," he said, hoping that no one had been close enough to overhear their conversation. "I have a date to get back to."

Toby used the word more to bother Ravi than everything, as he ignored anything else the Junior might say as he crossed the room and handed one of his drinks to Andy. "Here you go," he said, in a would-be-casual tone and a half-smile.

Before Ravi could say anything else Toby plowed away to go back to his date as he had rubbed into Ravi's face. At least the last few words out of Toby had revealed one thing; he wasn't happy being in an open relationship with Kyan. That's probably why he was with Andy, Andy could offer him more. Ravi had been thinking that and wasn't surprised when Toby admitted it. Toby just wasn't enough like Kyan to be happy in that type of relationship. Ravi knew it was probably Kyan's own fault that he was loosing Toby, but Ravi still was more sympathetic toward Kyan because of obvious reasons.

With on last dirty look at Toby, Ravi went back over to Kyan who was pouring shots for two whores and himself in the kitchen. Ravi spotted trouble when he saw Kyan chasing the shots with beer. His father had told him that was a really good way to get fucked up.

"M-maybe you should slow down. . ." he said nervously with a note of concern in his voice. He didn't want Kyan getting shit faced because of Toby being a cheating whore. Plus the two whores looked like they would jump Kyan the moment he lost his sense of judgment.

"Me too!" said Paul, "It was loads of fun and I actually did get to dress up as Ron for that one. And the one before that I went to when I still lived in England. . . I think I've been to almost every Harry Potter midnight event, books and movies." Paul added thoughtfully. "but when I was growing up me family could only afford one of each Harry Potter book for me and all my brothers, I have five older brothers, so I was always the last one to get to read them. The worst was one when of them was missing a page or something. That was always bloody awful. But now i have my own set so all is well!"

Paul took another sip of his Jack and held back the bottle to see that it was half empty and he hadn't even gotten a buzz from it. "I need stronger liquor." he said with a frown, more to himself than anyone around him.

He was safest at her place. . .he hated that. He hated that he had to have a safest alternative to his home. And yet, Faye didn't care. He was still so surprised and confused by her. Any other girls would most likely have been frightened off by Blane or his father.

"I can I can handle lying low for a weekend," he said with a little shrug, deciding to return to his drinking. He'd start feeling better once he started getting drunk. "I'm thinking of trying to explain to my dad that I was just doing it to help the ACS. . .that I took his advice. See if it gets him to cut me some slack."

Andy had felt slightly awkward when Toby left to get the drinks. He'd been gone quite a while, and Andy found a char to lean against with his arms crossed. He looked at the other kids dressed in all the different assorted costumes.

Before he had time enough to start discerning surrounding conversations, Toby came back and handed him a drink. He'd noticed Toby having a conversation with a skinny, dark haired kid before coming back.

"Thanks," he said, taking a gulp of beer. "So. . .everything go all right in the kitchen?"

"I'm fine," Kyan assured Ravi, blinking twice slowly at him. It was the first signs he was showing of tipsiness, which considering he'd had two shots of brandy, a cup and a bottle of beer wasn't too bad.

"Loosen up a little," he said, giving Tinkerhell a slap on the ass as he went into the fridge for a raspberry Smirnoff this time. "Have a few beers."

Most of his friends forgot that he was, in fact, bisexual. He preferred boys, definitely, but when a pair of scantily clad girls, were around he wasn't exactly going to turn them down.

Ravi watched helplessly as Kyan appeared to get more and more tipsy. Kyan had just gotten there and he was already almost drunk. . . And slapping girls on the ass. Ravi held back from telling Kyan that that was very disrespectful; the last thing he needed was for Kyan to go on a drunken rant about how Ravi was a goody-goody. Ravi decided he'd try to stay pretty sober tonight so he could keep an eye on Kyan.

Not wanted to disappoint or disobey Kyan, however, Ravi grabbed a beer out of the cooler and began to drink. He thought he could fool the increasingly intoxicated Kyan by caring around the same beer all night but telling him it was a new one each time he asked. Hopefully that would be enough to please him.

"Ok, but just be cool, ok?" he said with a hint of desperation. The last thing he wanted for Kyan to start throwing himself at any whore how showed interest because he didn't know how to deal with his feelings about Toby.

Cal came into the party dressed in a white button down shirt that he'd rolled up to his elbows. He also wore a pair of tan dress pants, dark brown belt and shoes and a dark brown tie to match. On his shirt were black paper holes. He had messed up his hair a little, making it flip out at the ends. He didn't care if no one got what he was supposed to be. He had come as a hole punched Jim from The Office. Jim's own costume choice in the show.

He grabbed a cup and poured it nearly three quarters full, the res he filled with some Pepsi. He found a seat in the living room and sat down with his drink.

Audrey rolled her eyes at Desmond's questioning of if he made a good straight boy. While doing so she couldn't help but notice a familiar face in the kitchen. Why, was that that Kyan fellow? The bartender from Babylon? Audrey spotted Desmond's little cousin Ravi there so she decided it had to be Kyan. Despite her best friend's dislike of Kyan, Audrey thought he was an attractive guy and interesting at that. Kyan gave off a bit of a bad boy vibe an Audrey like that. Desmond was probably just jealous because he knew he would always be stuck in his boring good guy role.

Audrey wanted a drink and that was where Kyan was so, why not have a little chat? Audrey pushed her way through the crowd, unapologetically causing people to spill their drinks as she passed. Beer was nasty, she reached for a Smirnoff Ice just as Kyan did.

"Oh, hello, I haven't seen you in awhile," she said casually, but with an obvious flirtatious vibe. She scowled at the slutty Alice in Wonderland, more out of jealousy for wanting the costume than anything else. It was actually the same exact costume she'd been looking on the internet at with the intention to buy. BUT NO. Desmond decided they had to go as Harry Potter characters and Audrey was stuck as matronly Lilly Potter. Maybe she'd go to the bathroom later and slut up her costume.

"Ravi," she said shortly with a quick glance at the boy before turning her full attention back to Kyan, "I heard about you 'little accident'. I hope you're feeling better. You look like you're feeling better." Audrey gave him a slow look up and down then took a sip of her drink. "Well enough to party obviously."
